JEEEEBS! WE MEET AT LAST!

So...earlier this week I heard that John Barrowman was doing an Autumn Tour! Hooray! I only fell in love with him shortly before his last tour, so this would be the first one I really had a chance to go to, and I'd been crossing my fingers he'd still be doing one, what with Torchwood and everything.

Monday was spent squeeing about the tour and panicking about whether I would get tickets and how good they would be (I had of course set my unrealistic, perfectionist heart on having front row seats).

Tuesday was spent researching the four venues near enough to me (Birmingham, Notts, Leics, Northampton) and their seating charts, and then ringing said venues and trying to get out of them which tickets would be released for pre-sale, and whether I should buy pre-sale or wait for general sale (as I'd been told you couldn't choose your tickets on pre-sale and could end up on the very backest of back rows). It was also spent realising that perhaps I should get a grip and be decidedly less obsessive.

Wednesday was spent developing a plan of action: get up in time for pre-sale on Thurs, check if you could choose seats, if you could choose seats then here is a list of acceptable seat numbers, if you can't then wait til Friday.

Thursday was spent frantically trying to deal with an often-crashing internet site, finding with joy and terror that you could choose your seats, then buying an alright pair of tickets to Leics before finding two FRONT ROW tickets to Nottingham!

The rest of Thursday and most of today was spent half celebrating the fact that we had front row tickets, albeit nearer to the end of the row than to the centre, and half panicking that I would be too far off to the side, or wouldn't be able to see the whole stage because I'd be too close, or would end up with a view of John's socks and nothing else. This was exacerbated by one of the mods on John's forum saying that the front row wasn't often the best place to be. But then I heard from a lovely lady on the forum who'd said she'd been at the front at Notts before, and was going to be again this year, and that it was fantastic. So now I'm back to squeeing. And hoping I can sell the other tickets. And squeeing.

By the way, does anyone know if John does signing/stage door after concerts? I know he doesn't after panto, but does after West End shows, so I am half hopeful that he might!

(Also pleasing today is the fact that I now get to use my 'excited' mood picture, which is of Ianto's torch. Excellent.)

babbling, john barrowman, squeeeee!
