Hi everyone!
I haven't updated lately, so I'll give you a quick run-down of things that have happened:
July 29-August 2: SoulFest
Yeah, there are like an infinite number of stories about this weekend, but most of you have heard about them, at least to some extent. I'll list the major stories, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, ask me later:
-MmmmMooching, but that's really what the whole weekend was about
-Let's see, we have everything we need for camping: a tent, Sweedish fish, Gatorade galore, and 6 lbs of peaches
-The Reefers
-The Great Chili Adventure
-The Dead Baby Cooler
-Meeting Laura
-Whoop whoop whoop!
-TRASH BAG!!!!!!!
-The gynormous thunderstorm
-The pond by my head
-My poor muffin!
-Peaches!
-The Kodiak Bears
-And who could forget the River?
-And pouring 32 gallons of pink lemonade in it?
You know what? I've only been mooned twice, and both of them happened at SoulFest (one this year, and one the other time I went).
August 7: Ben & Becca's wedding
B-E-A-utiful
I almost cried, but I didn't. There was some wellage, though.
And Bethany Covenant can dance!
August 10: Drove to Calvin's to pick up Mike's bike for Ted (go figure)
Drove to Newark to pick Mike up from the airport (returning home from Germany for the semester)
Drove to Philadelphia to see Katherine before she left for Benin for over two years. Eep! (Katherine and Mike hadn't seen each other since Christmas-ish, and they weren't going to see each other for another 27 months)
Drove to Malvern to see the Brandts and crash at their place. Yay Brandts!
August 11: Drove to West Point to drop off Ted's bike
Drove around West Point (after getting through security) for half an hour, trying to find Ted
Hung out with Ted
Drove home
August 17: Left for Richmond!!
August 18: Moved in!!!
August 19: finally updated my lj
So as you can see, some pretty major stuff has been going on, so that's why I've been MIA. Yeah, this has been one intense summer. But that's what being young is all about, right?
I'll fill you in on UR in a little bit. Right now I have to organize/clean my room
