California Veggie Sandwich

Served tonight. Dined on the back deck. Strawberry shortcakes for dessert. Even the squash hating, meat and potatoes husband ate every last crumb. Made time adjustment from the original recipe. Will play with the sauce. Oh, in case you're wondering, not all of my recipes are tagged yet.

Those sandwiches plus strawberry shortcake? YUM. Was it with lemonade? That's the perfect BBQ drink for me.

I had a squash-hating ex, and I decided that he just needed another go with them.

I popped them into a chunky soup and it was only three bites in that we realised that the squash were rancid (they looked fine! But the taste....).

Unsurprisingly, he never grew to like squash!
