Family approved. Will definitely make again.
6 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced thinly
1/2 cup white sugar
1 TBSP self rising flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 can fresh whole-berry cranberry sauce
1/4 cup water
2 cups quick cooking oats
2 cups self rising flour
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
1/2 cups packed dark brown sugar (you can ue all light brown sugar, if need be)
1 cup unsalted real butter, softened
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with white sugar, 1 TBSP flour and spices until distributed. Add in cranberry sauce. Spread in a lightly greased 9x13 inch pan. Pour water evenly over all.
In a separate bowl, stir to combine the oats, 2 cups flour, brown sugars, softened butter and pecans. Mixture will be thick. Dollop evenly over the apples and cranberry. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 45 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
