1. Neorxnawang discovered that people at concerts no longer hold up lighters in approval: They hold up their cell phones!
2. Lots of the parents taking their kids around trick-or-treating had drinks in hand while strolling our neighborhood. There's a bunch of families around the corner who have "martini night" in the summer - they sit on their front lawns with refreshments while the kids play. I'm renaming that street "Lush Lane."
3. We're having Thanksgiving and Christmas at our house, but I'm a bad and reluctant cook. My mom offered to cook the turkey at our house, and that just seems wrong, but I can't form the words to say, "That's OK, Mom, I'll do it."
4. Chris, age 10, accidentally broke an unbreakable cup. It was strangely impressive!
