(no subject)
Soooooooooo...I found an apartment! It's impossibly small, but nonetheless totally awesome. The reasons for it's awesomeness:
- balcony with a bit of a mountain view
- only a buck each for the washer and the dryer (I'm paying $1.50 each where I'm living now)
- REALLY safe building with video surveillance and all that fancy shit
- within a 5 min walk of 3 (!) parks
- just up the hill from the SPCA
- a block away from that HUGE park by the SPCA (I see many picnics in the near future)
- even though it's farther away from Main and Broadway, it's closer to the Drive
- cats are okay (well, I said I only had one and they said it was OK)
- just generally a newer, nicer building than the one I'm living in now
The food from last night turned out really well. The only thing that put a damper on the evening was the shooting that took place, like, 50 metres away from my apartment. This is not the first shooting in the last couple of months (third, I think), and it's making me kinda hate the fact I'm living right across from a strip club.
