Lit Dorktitude Time!

I am going to take a moment out of my evening to be a Lit Dork. I hope you are ready for it.

First...some humor from my Milton class:

-According to my teacher, Milton wins at life over the Rolling Stones. Because he SO did the whole friends with the devil thing first.

-According to my sarcastic classmate, Satan is a big fluffy love bunny.

-Much of our discussion in class today consisted of sentences beginning with the phrase, "Well, if I was in the Pit of Hell with Satan and all the Devils, MY perspective would be..."

Secondly...I've been researching Grad School. Minorly. I'm still intruiged by the idea of Library Science, but I'm beginning to realize the fact that I've never worked in a library in my life and don't particularly want to quit my well-paying job with the government to go work for minimum wage in a library at the moment probably means that I'm not going to get in. Though, San Jose State might let me in. They're pretty much the only one I've found that doesn't require a year of work experience though.

But, my severe dorkiness is just screaming over This masters program at a school in Boston in Childrens Lit. Can you see the drool forming?? Man, that would be an amazing experience. But OH-SO limiting... Especially when I can stay home and go to Hayward State and do the Lit Program there and take a bunch of Children's Lit emphasis classes with a teacher I already adore. Ack!

Thirdly...I think I've possibly found a new mild addiction. Internet Scrabble on facebook. Oh dear God, but it's fun. And entirely my brother's fault. He started it! If anyone wants to play, send me a holler and I'll start a game with you. LOL.
