Quotes of the Day
I am having a day of semi-amusement. So I'm going to share some quotes from my day. Just little things.
First off, started a new book today. Reservation Blues by Sherman Alexie. On the first page of chapter two, in which the main characters have started to form their band and are having public rehersals on the reservation, I read this quote which made me laugh out loud:
"Undercover CIA and FBI agents dressed up like Indians and infiltrated the band practices but didn't fool anyone because they danced like shit." (p. 33)
*snicker* I love you, Sherman Alexie.
Secondly, my friend joianoel was watching S1 of Doctor Who over New Years. Her hubby walked in on her. He had this to say about the experience:
"They go back in time to fight zombies with Charles Dickens? Why didn't you tell me that! That should've been the first thing you said! 'Hey, Josh, wanna watch this time-traveling alien go back in time to fight zombies with Charles Dickens?'"
*snicker* My fandom is the best fandom EVER. Seriously. How many fandoms can have quotes like that? Doctor Who = awesome.
