Vark and I just got in from seeing Garden State...my second time, her first.
My observations, other than my new favorite quote:
-Natalie Portman is just so freaking adorable in this movie. She just lights up the screen. It's really quite remarkable.
-Zach Braff didn't depress me as much this time around. Strange, since last time that was kind of what I took away from it.
-There is only one published song in the movie that is NOT on the soundtrack - Orange Sky, by Alexi Murdoch, from the OC Music Mix 1. I wish I had known that BEFORE burning my replacement copy of the soundtrack tonight. I would have added it on.
-Natalie Portman spends the entire second half of the movie running around in a pink hoodie. Which makes my overly obsessive compulsively purchased pink hoodie just that much funnier. And she's got bushy curly hair too. Hmmm. Maybe I should curl my hair so that I can be a bigger freak and Mel can make fun of me. Heh. Maybe I'll do it for picking her up at the airport for New Years. hee.
-It's late and I need to go to bed. I have to get up and try to win tickets at 8:30am tomorrow.
-I saw nearly a dozen Harry Potter DVD ads while driving around tonight. 3-4 billboards. The rest bus ads, except for the huge Aunt Marge hanging on the Bev Center. hee. And yes, I pointed each and every one of them out and squealed. Vark can vouch for me on this one.
Off to bed. Back to the slave pen tomorrow. G'night.
