I learned about Hematology, anion gaps, and t proteins (troponin). But i don't really recall anything that really stood out for me.
I saw a labroscoptic tubial ligation which i think and understand it to be the womans fallopian tube getting truncated or tied so you can be catholic and not worry about a dozen kids.

http://www.nyabortion.com/birthcontrol/tuballigation.shtml#1I was cool enough to escort the patient to the recovery room and not bump the her head into various oxygen tanks along the way yay! I've haven't been writing as much because you only get to see so many different surgeries before it becomes the same.
Oh and i saw a wide excision Basal cell carcinoma on the scalp, i didnt get to see her brains but it was still something to write about , they were going to use a piece of skin on her thigh if her head didnt close properly. (there's a small hole on her head because the surgeons took out the cancer) But they manage to close it and we were invited to go to the cystology lab where we saw fresh slides being made (the pink slides you see under a microscope in bio class)

http://www.hmc.psu.edu/healthinfo/b/basalcell.htm Oh i jotted this down on paper "Breast Mast, wet lab minimizes bleeding" so i'm going to figure what that means. ok that's all.
