Well, since the wings will make it quicker, the Lumos might not be fast enough...

To slow it down maybe Impedimenta... But I have a question, since light is their ultimate weakness, then fire must be deadly too, what about Incendio or even Flagrate? Or even casting the Imperturbable Charm on yourself after Impedimenta giving you more time?

With Flagrate, I think so, because its a constant stream from your wand... The Incendio...I'm not sure.. I'd be liable to set something else on fire as well.

Perhaps a Petrificus Totalus followed by the Severing Charm would work better?

*Standing up and now wandering to a door. Opening it, is a room that is completely black, and there are sounds coming from inside.*

All you need is to step inside, and the rest is quite obvious.

((Inside is a very large room and an illusion of a shrieker that will act like anyone, flying around and swooping down to attack. If she fails, it'll vanish before killing her or injuring her. It's an illusion after all))

*Tatsuki throws Riddick a look before walking up to the door peering into the darkness. She cautiously steps inside, the door slamming shut behind her.*

shit...*She hears a rustling off to her left*
LUMOS! *Light fills the room for a several seconds and a shape rushes at her from that direction. She turns quickly*

PETRIFICUS TOTALUS! *The spell hits the shape but the momentum of it is too great and it comes sliding towards her even though its petrified. When it reaches her about to slam into her, it vanishes.*
