Ven's All Time Favourite Jpop Songs (PART 1)
Okayy just for fun...I'm doing this...there's probably a lot of songs...but I'll probably do 60 songs at the most...but for this post...it won't be all 60 songs...I mean are you nuts?! lol maybe just like 12 of them? =D
For this post...more attention to some of my fav Jpop songs coming out of animes and such...old school music...well some...yess!! I hope you enjoy this post. random but I felt like doing it XD
1. 1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou - Siam Shade
This song just had to come first cause it's super classic!! One of the most popular songs coming out on RK...and besides that, Siam Shade is gonna get a tribute album too really soon!! And I've read translation to this song...it is beautiful!! really meaningful...it's just such a catchy song...A super old school, awesome rock song!! Seriously like when I saw Misako and Shuta (of AAA) on a Dojo episode...where they sang along to this with some guy at the karaoke, I got a major spastic moment. I mean RUROUNI KENSHIN + AAA = HECKK <3
I found it weird though that misako appeared to know the song better than shuta. shouldn't this be more of a guys' song?? =p
Well maybe not, since i'm a girl, and I love it!! I wonder if misako loves it too...she certainly seems to know it =D
2. Change The World - V6
Change The World also happens to be my first song by JE! lol though I only discovered JE as a whole many many years later. haha...it's another classic inuyasha song...the opening theme song!! I wasn't even big on japanese music then...I was soo young but this show definitely planted itself in my head for many years to come. And besides that, V6 are just AWESOME no? Well i say they are =D
3. Sobakasu - Judy & Mary
Sobakasu is another super old school Rurouni Kenshin song!! In fact, I even have this song on my DDR. But it's an english version called freckles. Nevertheless, this song is always awesome...it always will be.
The entire RK soundtrack is flawless...Not all the songs are mentioned here...but I do love all of them!! But all the songs are just great...and Sobakasu is definitely one of the classic Jpop songs that will never age...i mean seriously how many years has it been? LOL. =D
4. Butterfly Kiss - Chihiro Yonekura
This is another opening theme for this anime called RAVE. And you know what?? YESS I LOVE THIS SONG OBVIOUSLY. It just makes me feel soo good! And the thing about all this old anime songs, they bring back so many memories...seriously...but goshh, anime songs are just plain awesome. If you don't agree, well I don't know what to say...and Rave was pretty fun to watch =D
Sieghart was HOT! XD
Story was complicated though...a little...=p
5. Fukai Mori - Do As Infinity
Here you go...another old INUYASHA song!! Well DAI sang alot for inuyasha yaknow...but this is one of my favourites...partly coz somehow it is one of the most reminescent songs ever!! I don't really know why...it gives me this really bittersweet feeling and somehow, I love it! haha, and besides that, DAI are pretty awesome...and yepps, you guessed it. I know Do As Infinity through inuyasha ;)
6. Dearest - Hamasaki Ayumi
Lols yes INUYASHA again. haha. Ayumi has released many songs since DEAREST but personally, I still find DEAREST to be one of her most beautiful songs ever. It's just the sort of song you can't hate. It's just incredibly soothing and pretty. DEAREST, honestly, to me, is one of Ayu's best in her entire career. There's just something about it, something that stands out from the rest. Another song that will live through the ages too! <3
7. One Day One Dream - Tackey & Tsubasa
INUYASHA. HAHA. well this show had so many series, so naturally, it'll have a lot of songs too right? And thanks to Inuyasha too, Tackey & Tsubasa became my 2nd known johnny's. LOL. Though I didn't really find out till many years later XP
Another great songg...JE power seriously...I don't even really know what to say about the song...I just love it...I don't have many reasons to it...besides the fact I kinda do love tackey? HE SO NEEDS TO BE A SEIYUU. he has the perfect talking voice to it XD
8. 1-2 -Kawamoto Makoto
RK!! Like I said, I love the soundtrack!! And this is definitely not an exception. This song, again, brings me back to the past!! One of my favourite starting songs ever too!! I kinda miss this type of music...I mean Jpop still pretty much sticks to their roots at most times...which i love...but songs like those from the RK era...it's difficult to hear any of them these days! they were just too unique, it can't be described...just too lovely!! <33
9. DAME!; NO! - You Izumi
Another RK!! I'm soo gonna get repetitive. REALLY everything about the RK soundtrack, there's nothing to hate. It's just all love. HAHAHA.
10. For Real - Tokuyama Hidenori
And of course another anime with an awesome soundtrack is SAIYUKI! This song is just a complete rock-out song. Again, from saiyuki, there's really no beginning/ending song I don't love!! just soo catchy...I love it how anime songs are soo catchy!! And Saiyuki was a superb anime too!! <33
11. Still Time - Tokuyama Hidenori
Yess another great Tokuyama Hidenori song!! From saiyuki as well...Has a similar sound to For Real...but it is really great sounding by it's own...another song to rock out and just chill to when you're feeling lonely. haha. There's just a certain quality in japanese songs I will never find in mainstream english songs...I think I was just born to listen to Jpop XD
12. Alone - Shimokawa Mikuni
This is a Saiyuki ending theme song!! Another very soothing song that makes me a little sad...but nevertheless, I still love it!! The melody is pure win and again, it ends up kinda bittersweet actually. I don't know...I really have a weakness for bittersweet songs...so, that could explain a lot!! HAHA.
13. Mirai - Open Up Your Mind
Last but not least, OPEN UP YOUR MIND by Mirai from SAIYUKI!! I could never forget this song!! "In this world where life can be so tough, you must be strong~!" I love that line!! This song is like super motivating and it cools me down when things go bad...when things don't go as I want to...I am reminded to.."Just open up your mind, and close your eyes, take another look from the other side". Seriously for an anime song, this song is soo meaningful....And soothing too...I really love this song ALOT!! <3
