AS LONG AS YOU LOVE ME
Shuta always wanted a girlfriend. He had wanted a girlfriend ever since God knows when. In actual fact, he had a secret nobody knew. He did not want just any girlfriend. He was waiting for someone. For her...Yes, he was waiting patiently for her. Sometimes, he wondered why did he have to fall in love with her. Why her of all people??
He being in AAA and she in AKB48, they met fairly often in TV shows and such. But they never really talked or even said hi to each other. However, one day, all that changed. It was during a Music Japan rehearsal. Shuta was walking to his dressing room, whistling to his favourite W-inds tune. Just then, he saw a familiar face, a girl...and her face looked white and pale. She looked really sick.
For some reason, perhaps because of his nature, Shuta felt concerned for the girl. He recognised her, yes, he did. She was Takahashi Minami or Takamina, one of the most prominent members of AKB48. Shuta listened to almost any type of music, and bought many CDs. AKB48 wasn't an exception, so he was familiar with Takamina. Yep, that was her alright...and she was going to perform and be on Music Japan too later, but would she be able to perform in that state?
"Ano...Takahashi Minami-chan?" asked Shuta politely.
".....Are?Me? You are...? Ohh AAA's Sueyoshi Shuta right?" asked Takamina.
"Yes," said Shuta as he smiled earnestly. Takamina was feeling really weak, but she appreciated Shuta's kind smile towards her eventhough they were almost strangers. A single smile always somehow made your day better. Besides, she thought Shuta had a pretty charming smile.
"Is there anything?" asked Takamina curiously.
"No, not really...you just look really unwell...Are you...." stammered Shuta. Before he could even finish, Takamina collapsed. From learning karate, Shuta had quick reflexes. Before she fell to the ground, Shuta managed to catch her safely in his arms. As he could not see any AKB48 staff around, he carried her and brought her back to her dressing room. Since there were staff present in the room, it was okay to leave her in their care.
He hoped she was okay. They had a few hours before recording that Music Japan episode anyway. Before leaving, he took one last look at her. For the first time, he examined every detail on her face; her delicate lips, her rounded nose, her wavy, brown hair...Even while she was unconscious, she looked beautiful to him. Wait, why was he looking at her that way? he sighed and then left her.
Since then, the image of her lying unconscious could not leave his head. For the rest of the day, he thought of her. He thought of nothing but her. She was quite petite and small, but he had to admit, he liked girls like that because he wasn't very tall himself. He desperately wanted to know more about her. But what could he do? He could only pray.
His prayer was answered a few days later after Hidaka, Shinjiro and Chiaki went on Takamina's show MUJACK. It was late at night when his phone buzzed. Shuta received an email which read:
"I wanted to thank you earlier, but I never got the chance. Got your email address from Mitsuhiro Hidaka-san. My staff told me you carried me to my room when I fainted that day...I wish there was some way I could repay you back. Anyway, thank you so much, Sueyoshi Shuta-san~!! ^^
With regards, Takamina."
Looking at her email, he smiled. He replied back to her:
"You are welcome! Well, it's not a problem at all. You gave my muscles some exercise they needed! They were getting flabby!! Haha ^_^ ! Are you alright now though? You always work so hard!! Please rest up well, Takahashi Minami-chan~!'"
From then onwards, Shuta and Takamina exchanged emails regularly, talking about their lives, what they did for the day, what they loved etc. Shuta found out many interesting things about Takamina like how she was a big Shounen manga and One Piece fan like Nishi, how in love she was with Katsu-don, her favourite restaurant, her life as a Team A and also unofficial leader of AKB, how she wanted to be a vegetable as a small girl, her current manga craze...they emailed about everything. Shuta felt really comfortable emailing with her.
Shuta in turn also told Takamina a lot on himself on how he listened to almost any type of music, how he found cooking to be fun and enjoyed it very much, his passion and heart for dancing, his desire to be an even better singer, his soft spot for kids, his favourite restaurant, his black belt in karate, his occasional interest in manga, his current craze whether in food or activity...they emailed each other often.
Despite the regular emails, Shuta and Takamina never really got to talk much in person. They never really had the chance to hit even a short conversation. On music shows and such, both of them were always so busy. The most they did was just give each other a warm smile or wave, and that was about it.
One fine day, Shuta was on the set for Music Japan again. AKB48 were there again because AAA's and AKB's releases seemed to coincide fairly often. At that time, recording was finished and the other AAA members were really hungry, and had rushed off for dinner first. Shuta stayed back because he wanted to practise for awhile in his dressing room for a dance event that was on the next day.
As he walking back to his dressing room, he passed by AKB48's dressing room. The door was open, but there appeared to be no one inside. Just then, his sharp ears heard soft sobbings from the room. Curious, Shuta walked into the dressing room. He knew he shouldn't have, but his curiosity overcame all else. As he walked to the corner of the room, there he saw Takamina sobbing on the floor, her legs curled up near her face.
Quietly, Shuta kneeled down and held out a tissue to her. Silently, she took the tissue from him.
"Ohh gosh, Takahashi Minami-chan, why are you crying? Where is everyone else?" asked Shuta kindly.
"I....I..."stammered Takamina, unsure if she should tell her problems to Shuta.
"You know, if you need time for yourself, I can leave you here on your own. I just want to make sure you're okay..." said Shuta.
"....No...please don't go. Stay here, please....Everyone else has gone...I lied to them...saying I had something to do...but I just actually wanted some time to myself...Please...close the door. I don't want anyone else to see me like this." replied Takamina shakily. Obediently, Shuta stood up and closed the door. Then he knelt down beside her again.
"You know, if you just need someone to be quiet and accompany you while you cry, I'm fine with that too. Just as long it makes you feel better," said Shuta gently to her.
"Thank you...I...Do you know how I always...always...tell others that I may look like a yankee but...I have a glass heart? yes...that's...how fragile I am. Even this upcoming concert...they named it after me...I'm just really afraid, Sueyoshi-san. I really am...How if I don't live up to their expectations? I...don't want to let everybody down...Sometimes, it's so hard...everyone expects me to always be strong...always be the one bringing everyone up...but I'm tired...just so tired...I almost fainted again today...I..."said Takamina uncertainly.
"Shh!" said Shuta to Takamina as he held one hand in front of her lips. Then, Shuta smiled at her. He looked into her deep, brown eyes. He stared at her adoringly. For such awhile, he's been admiring her from afar, for such awhile, he's been watching her. But this time, he couldn't hold himself back. He neared her and embraced her tightly.
"Cry all you want. It'll make you feel better...Please don't be so hard on yourself. Remember you're human. I'm human too. All you need to do is try your best...which I believe you already have...and people will see that. Don't worry so much about what others think. Just know that you have given your all...and that is enough. I know sometimes it's tough...but whenever you need someone to help you carry your burdens...I'm here for you..."said Shuta.
"Thank you so much..." replied Takamina as she embraced him back tightly. Then she cried out on him with all her might, releasing all her worries and troubles on him.
"Ano...Takamina-chan....wait is it okay if I call you that?"asked Shuta.
"Yes...please...call me that...Anything?" asked Takamina.
"Yess...I've never realised how true my feelings were till today...but I just wanted you to know..."stuttered Shuta. With intense eyes, he looked into hers and held her hands in his.
"I love you." He whispered into her ears. Immediately, he pecked her neck and cheeks, and kissed her lips passionately. Takamina responded back as passionately as he did at first, but suddenly she pulled back away from him.
"No...this will never work...I'm not allowed to date. This can only be but a fling...Sueyoshi-san...I am so so sorry..."said Takamina regretfully.
"I don't care...I know...you're an idol...but tell me, do you love me? We don't have to date now...I will wait for you till you graduate. It may be many more years...You're only 20 this year...but I will wait...I will wait for you, Takamina-chan," said Shuta confidently.
"But it'll be unfair for you...I can't be selfish...I can't let you wait for me...I might take years, alot of years." said Takamina.
"Forget about all that first...Just tell me honestly, do you love me?" asked Shuta again.
"OH YES I DO. Shuta-san, I really do love you. I never felt the same way about a guy before but..."said Takamina but she was cut short by Shuta.
"Okay, then that's enough. I will wait for you, takamina...no matter how many years it takes...just as long as you love me." said Shuta.
And they embraced for a final time.
And that was Shuta's love story. He'll wait for her...He definitely will.
Love is patient, love is kind. Shuta believed that, and he too believed she was worth the wait...
From almost strangers, they became almost lovers.

Anyway, a bit of background....why do I ship Takamina x Shuta? haha YESS I ship them kinda XD
1. Takamina has pretty awful fashion sense at times, shuta has pretty awful hairstylees at times. They're balanced. ahha.
2. Shuta changes his hairstyle 24/7. Takamina has been sticking to the same hairstyle for like forever.
3. They're both if not the nicest one of the nicest people in both their respective groups.
4. Shuta can cook for Takamina who loves to eat XD
5. They're both fans of W-inds, though Shuta listens to almost anything ahha XD
6. The height difference. Even if shuta's short for a guy, he's a lot taller than takamina who's only 148.5 cm. Shuta's like 167 cm. Almost 20 cm difference xP It'll be good for shuta's pride HAHAHA
7. Also note that I will ship Shuta with almost anyone since he's always talking about searching for a girlfriend XD
