[Yuuka is actually up rather early on Wednesday, having recieved her regain in the form of her dress. Yes yes. But why you feel such a way is what makes me curious.

Is it because you need her to need that from you? Is it because the only way you can feel strong is for you to continue to make her feel weak?

I am giving her confidence in herself. You are suppressing that confidence for your own needs.

You are holding her back, so that you can feel needed.

And somewhere in the back of her head, she acknowledges this and it makes her feel sick, as though someone has punched her in the gut. Don't I? I have told the poor girl that she has the capability within herself to be stronger, to be more confident, to never be stepped on again if she so wishes.

Have you ever said such a thing to her? Or have you only told her that she needs your protection? Have you ever even tried to let the poor girl protect herself?

No, you simply would not allow that, would you? If you did, she would find confidence where you have none. She would find a way to care for herself, and the purpose you have crafted for yourself by keeping her weak and afraid will shatter into nothingness.

It is not I she needs. It is you that she does not need.

Sweetie, she doesn't know that what you're doing isn't helping her.

She trusts you so completely, so purely...and you're using that trust to accomplish your own goals.

She's so innocent, she'll always believe that you are trying to help her. She'll never know why you're doing the things you do...holding her back for your own gain...at least she won't until she grows strong enough to see it.

I won't tell her, of course. I'll just help her become strong enough to realize it. Then, she'll probably pity you. She'll probably be willing to protect you out of pity at that point. But it will be different that way...it will be the truly strong protecting the pitifully weak.
