[Yuuka has decided to take a lovely stroll today. One excuse for it is to get her legs working properly again after being in bed for so long. But the true purpose of her stroll is to present herself in challenge of sorts. She knows what happened on Mother's Day...and with all the talk of Father's Day today she's assuming the same things may ( Read more... )

do your worst, challenge, !event, yuuka, father's day, are you a bad enough dude?

[Mayfield's worst is a small, talking rabbit?!]

O-Oh, ah, um- good day, miss.

[Yuuka stops and looks for a moment.]

Now why would Tewi be sending you out to speak with me? Trying to get your master angry with me again?

[Uh-oh. If Rabbit doesn't somehow prove he's not one of Tewi's in the next minute he's likely getting Danmaku to the face.]

[Waggle waggle wagglin' them long ears in annoyance.]

Who in the name of the Hundred Acre Woods is this "Tooey"? Never heard of them! And I only wished to say hello, even if it was to some grown up, have to show proper manners and all that- because I raised just fine, I'll have you know. Oh, and my name is Rabbit, thank you kindly.

Oh my. Well you're certainly more well-spoken than the little devils.

And manners too. I suppose I was mistaken.

Well, a good day to you little Rabbit. I am Yuuka Kazami. You'll have to excuse me, I am far too accustomed to dealing with someone's evil little rabbit friends.

[His narrow fluffy chest swells visibly as he shines his knuckles on it and preens. Easily affected by compliments? You betcha! He even makes an elegant leg and bows briefly, probably looking utterly ridiculous.]

A-Ah, well, no need to fret, happens to the best of us. Rather good to meet you, Miss Yuuka Kazami. Mercy me, though, I can understand how bothersome it is to deal with those without standards.

[Yuuka takes note of how the little rabbit reacts to a compliment...and also is a bit impressed by his old fashioned style of manners.]

Indeed it is. I would assume by your proper manners that you are not the sort of rabbit who would lay waste to a poor woman's garden, correct?

[Yep, this is the most important and pressing matter to her at the moment.]

[It might be funny to watch how different expressions take over Rabbit's face when her words sink in- first he's excited, and then shocked, and then aggravated. But the last is obviously a displaced sort of irritation- whoever he's annoyed at, it's not Yuuka.]

Hardly, miss! I have my own garden- rather, I tended one outside my home - and it was under attack by thoughtless buffoons almost every day! Pulverizing my pumpkins, scattering my squash, ruining my rutabagas- dear oh dear, wrecking the property of others in such a ridiculous way is the last thing I would do, I assure you.

Forgive my rudeness, however it is a pressing concern for me.

It is a terrible thing indeed when others are careless with a garden you've worked so hard on.

Well...I believe I rather like you. Should someone destroy your garden I will be happy to take care of them for you. [Boy...that smile on her face right now is a bit disturbing.]

[Waves one...hand? paw? nah it's more like a hand- in the air and actually manages a small smile back, completely oblivious to that creepyface.]

Think nothing of it, I completely understand, especially if you've had previous trouble and bother. And no need to worry, I...I have not even one row to my name here it seems, aheh. But perhaps soon-! Er, would it be too forward of me to ask to see your garden? I mean, it's simply that we seem to share a common interest, is all.

Oh, well of course.

[Yuuka leads the way for Rabbit to follow. She hadn't gone too far, so it's not much of a walk/hop to get back to Yuuka's house. Rabbit will first notices the nice large patches of flower garden around the base of the house, before leading him around back to her veritable Eden of sunflowers and various other types of flower nearly covering her back yard.]

[He nods with approval at everything he sees- flowers may not be his thing so much as vegetables, but a garden is still a garden. Rabbit also knows better than to touch anything; how often has he burst a metaphoric blood vessel over Tigger messing with this or that?]

How lovely!

Isn't it?

Some of the flowers do not thrive well in this climate, and the soil is not quite the best...so they require extra attention.

However I am quite proud of what I have accomplished here. It's like a little piece of home.

[She's conveniently leaving out that she has easy modo flower powers. But she DOES do work on them sometimes! ...and did she just let the slightest sliver of homesickness slip?]

[Rabbit, for all his bluster and boasting, is by no means a super observant bunny, and the wisp of what might be homesickness slips past him.]

Yes, yes, I can see that- envious, really. That kind of effort and pride in one's handiwork is quite rare nowadays.

[Good golly gosh does he look pleased to be near a garden again, fo shizzle.]

Indeed it is.

You may take a stroll through, if you'd like.

[Yuuka opens up the gate in the fence, allowing him access to her new Garden of the Sun.]

Oh, may I? Mercy me, what a treat- really now, that's very kind you, Miss Yuuka Kazami.

[links his hands behind his back and strolls through, looking like a kid in a candy store....minus the ravenous hunger, obviously]

[Yuuka simply watches the little rabbit thoroughly enjoy her garden from the fence. It's not often she has such a polite individual truly appreciate her flowers. She's also watching to make sure this isn't some elaborate plot from Tewi.]
