[After having re-acclimated herself to her sudden move back to Mayfield, Yuuka has apparently decided to fall back into old habits and take a vaguely familiar stroll around town

[Theta isn't so much interested in the woman as she is the flowers popping up behind her. She leans heavily on her cane and limps along after her, curious.]
[Yuuka never turns around to address the woman directly, however she does eventually speak as she continues walking, leaving a thin whisp of condensed breath trailing over her shoulder.]
[Theta wrinkles her nose when she's called 'child', but nonetheless she clears her throat and limps forward a bit, trying to walk beside her if they're going to talk.]
I suppose that is an assumption that could be easily made.
Or perhaps I am a Goddess and nature simply springs to life around my feet?
[Yuuka still does not even look at the woman, but has noticeably slowed down ever so slightly. Not quite enough for a person bound to a cane to keep up without work, though.]
Is that so? Then what would you tie such powers of nature to in your world?
[Oh, look Theta, your cane is now wrapped in vines of Trumpet Creepers. They aren't attached to anything, simply an adornment on the cane at this point.]
[That startles her. The problem with startling Theta, with her leg, though, is that her startled little jump sends her falling to the ground with a yelp of pain.]
[She's a bit touchy about that, but she's trying hard to keep her composure since she's as certain as someone who can't read others' thoughts can be that the woman doesn't mean any harm by it.]
[And Yuuka indeed CAN'T read minds, which is why she's dropping it there...for the most part.]
I see, I see. Amazing what the world outside came up with during even the course of my own life.
I suppose since this is my fault, I could aid you in getting wherever you need to go? I may not be the nicest of old women, but I do have a sense of honor and responsibility, after all.
[Theta gives her an odd look when she calls herself old, but she doesn't question it. She even smiles kindly, and shakes her head.]
I'm just going walkabout, I need to make an effort every day or I'll be in a bad way. But thank you. That's why I didn't mind following you around to see the flowers. They've...not grown anywhere near where I'm from for several decades.
Is that so? And what might the reason for that be? Has the environment been destroyed where you come from?
[Yuuka begins to try to lead Theta along, so that she might continue her walk. Theta may have already refused Yuuka's help, at which point she would normally be done with it, but she was now interested in this world without flowers.]

Is there something you need from me, child?

...The flowers...you're making them, I presume?

God doesn't exist, and switching the gender of such a fallacy doesn't make it any more believable.

Goodness, dear, you should be more careful! Quite a number of hazards out in the world, you know.

This...isn't like my own world at all. I manage just fine there, but...it's awkward for me here...
[She's trying to deflect; she's embarrassed, after all.]

Perhaps so. What is it that has happened to your leg, if I may be so bold to ask?

[She doesn't seem keen on answering the question with the full truth.]

[Of course she refers to those "crazy machines" she's mostly only heard of and rarely seen that come into Gensokyo from the outside world.]
