More of a way of life.

Far be it from me to make judgments in the area of criminal activity, indeed, such a thing would itself by somewhat morally reprehensible, but it certainly is intimidating that such a figure as yourself is flitting in and out without being stopped.

What requires more attention: Murders, or missing puzzles and a little lock-picking?

This place is so full of crime and degeneracy that I'm not worth apprehending. Besides, we all have our little quirks. Yours is tea-drinking. Mine just happens to fall afoul of the law.

If it's murder your telling me about, then I believe it's my livelihood I'll be worried about.

It's never out of your system, but any resident of Gotham knows better than to underestimate someone just because of a penchant for the theatrical. The Joker taught us that much.
