Yesterday I made an easy $5 by participating in a reserach study on personality. On my way to Central Square 015, I passed by a new area that has something to do with student advising??? Anyway, the point is that I've been at York for 9 months now and I never even knew that there was any construction going on. I passed through Central Square a million times this past year and never noticed anything.
After getting lost, calling Penina and finding my way...I get to this heavy black door. I push it open and find myself in a dimly light, shady looking stairwell. I feel as if the stairs are going to cave under me because their archiac design was buckling from overuse. Cautiously I take a step, and then another. It's safe apparently, so I continue down the stairs. I hear all sorts of strange noises, as if a radiator is going to explode. The heating vents were hanging from the ceiling, not properly attached. Very safe. Another heavy black metal door. I open it and see signs directly me to the room. A third heavy black metal door. I feel as though this is some prison dungeon. I find 015, a room light by artificial lights, no windows. I am directed to a cubicle and given the task of clicking buttons. At one point I got bored and started to click the same button for at least 20 questions... 0:) ... at the completion of my button clicking, less than 1/2 hour later, I was awarded with a semi-crisp $5 bill.
$5 for clicking buttons. Life just doesn't get any better than that.
