LYRICS fuckin BORN, bizatch

Ladies and gentlemen,
First keep this in mind: I'm moderately impressed. [Interlude: And Bu, yes you fucked up. Yes, big, as I may add "fucking", time. Don't worry, I'll hook your Toulousian-ass up with Oppa-P.] As your skillful brain might be able to tell from the title, I just came back from Lyric Born's first concert in Hamburg.

Supporting act was DATA MC from Berlin. Highly synthetic beatz performed live (?) on a drum computer, mac & keyboard, which reminded me a lot of the Aphrodelics, but just not as good. Well, who knows, maybe one day....

Back to the important shit. Next opening act was supporting DJ Mike Relm. Black suit, black tie, Buddy Holy eye-wear - just hit the link and see for your self. But, just out of courtesy, make it back to my page to read the fucking rest of the story. So he had two black turtables which looked like Vestax from the base. The thing is, PDX-2000 are silver only and have straight tone arms, not J shaped ones like these. Inet research turns out there are brand spanking new Vestax PDX-2300Pro's.

This is just to tell you at what level he's operating. A PMC-007pro mixer AND two scratch able CD players. Never thought much of those, but to tell you the truth, I never seen them in action. Damn, they work well.
So at first he performed some funky-ass cuts like Terminator X at triple speed over Chemical Brother's or Björk over I don't know what - either way: shit you'd never thought of. But that wasn't all. Synchronously he was playing videos on his projector. And if that wasn't enough one of his scratch-able CD players was actually a scratch able DVD player.

until now I didn't even know this existed and he mastered it

Just imagine him doing a crab while playing Fight Club and people are getting punched in the face back and forth at that speed. And it went on and on and on and on

Usually DJ sets that well prepared last for like 10min at the most. He did at least 40 without a glitch. Goddamn man you just replaced Sytlewarz, Mirko Machine and Funky Chris as the best DJs I've ever seen perform. I'm still out of my mind. Why haven't I heard from him? I was like: a guy like this gotta be ITF champion. Check his web page: he is.

Damn these Asian origins, having to drive everything to ultimate perfection. Ph@ttest DJ set ever, for ever ever? ever ever ever? for: ever.

Even though Lyrics Born rocked the house big time, I gotta say Relm stole his show man.

And if you don't believe it, go ask Toby.
