Child Moment #5

Brave Irene singing and the "WIND" is hovering over her motioning to take her box.
Random child in the audience: NO! IRENE! LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!

Child Moment #6
Mother has not turned off her cell phone as instructed at the beginning of the play.
Daughter: MOM YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE NOW YOU RUINED IT FOR EVERYONE!

Question to all of you out there with little ones: (yes it's a segway into a rant)

When you go out with your children, say to an afternoon theatre show, and you bring along snacks, like apples and crackers, and Pringles, do you leave apple cores, wrappers and sucked up crackers on the theatre floor?

I, completely understand crackers and pretzels ending up on the floor. I understand that sometimes kids drop things and can't find them in the dark, but when you leave wrappers on the chairs it says to me you purposely left them there. When, for some odd reason, you let your child walked around holding a pine branch that he/she picked up from a dead tree off the street please please don't bring it into the theatre. Especially because you do not know who is allergric to pine. I know many people whose allergries trigger their asthma and its not fun. I am not allergic to pine but I would be very pissy if I was because being an asthmatic I would have had to clean it up and have an asthma attack in the process.

Applecores. I have not known a child from the ages of 2-7 to sit and eat a whole apple unless it was decored and cut into pieces. I would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to the 4 families that have actually got their wee ones to eat an apple whole without being cut into pieces. How do I know it's 4 individual families? Because I had to clean up the 4 random apple cores that were left in 4 different places in the audience.

Question two: Your child has a running nose through out the show and uses a lot of napkins. Do you leave all the nasty boogies germ filled napkins on the seat?

*shudders*  Yes, maybe I am germaphobic, but I get sick easily and I do not enjoy cleaning up my germfilled napkins so please don't ask me to clean up yours.

Baby brother moment of the Last week(Friday):

Baby bro whines about not wanting to go to school.
Mom: If you go to school today I won't make you go tomorrow.
Baby bro: DUH tomorrow is SATURDAY.

Baby brother moment of the weekend:
Chrissie (me for those of you keeping score) comes out wearing her stage blacks.
Baby brother points and says: I KNEW IT! I KNEW YOU WERE A SPY!!!! Do you have spy friends? Do they have spy parties? Do they get spy haircuts?! (and he kept going)
