Really applaud her for her effort to sing in Mandarin. It is quite a feat for Japanese to pick up another language. Linguistic research has proven Japanese kids began to lose their ability to distinguish/ pronounce certain sounds as they pick up the language. This is because some sounds simply do not exist in their language! (Hero fans may recall Hiro Nakamura in one of the season 1 episodes could not pronounce the word "villain" and kept misreading as "billain" because there is no "v" sound in Japanese.)
