Challenge
This was always one of my favourite challenges of _ming's so I've dipped into the archive and thought we might try the non-song songfic again.
'A songfic is a piece of fiction preceded by or interspersed with lyrics from a song. This week, write a fic that uses lyrics in the dialogue or narration, but in such a way that the original musical nature of the line isn't obvious.
Your fic can be cheesy, serious, or anything else. The challenge here is to take lyrics out of their original context and build a story around them. You have 1 1/2 hours, so take your time, take out your CD's, and have fun!'
