that was awesome, in the literal sense of the word, awe inspiring. I love Cabaret, and, to a lesser extent, Chicago, and I absolutely admire your for writing something as good as this. I've never seen anyone write Cabaret fic before, I wasn't aware that it could even be done without totally butchering it, but you did a good job of it. ^_^.

Heh, have to agree with you -- Chicago is wonderful, but Cabaret just has that extra level. (And yeah, a lot of 'that extra level' consists of gay porn. I'm shallow. *g*)

This was great... Though it's sad to think about what happens to Sally after Brian... I've never seen either on stage, but this was very much the book Sally instead of the film Sally.

There's one other Cabaret fic that I know of... Yuletide, obviously, and the story I got last year. Tomorrow Belongs. Max/Brian, mainly. It's really excellent.
