I loved that movie. ~_~ This pairing is fascinating because they only have some time together on-screen until Partridge dies. And then, Mary comes in to complete the triangle, and you wonder... Kudos. ~_~

I agree with you completely, there's probably a triangle relationship going on, although Preston probably wasn't aware of it until it was too late and both Partridge and Mary had died...
Glad you liked it!

Ooh, so that's how Partridge and Mary met! I love it--it's perfectly believable, and Partridge seems kind of stunned... more because of the unfamiliar feelings he's suddenly experiencing, than because of the wound. The way he looks at Preston's hand! He still doesn't know what's happening to him, poor Cleric... but we do. *eg* And it's great! The whole fic is. *hugs you* *more* :)

Thank you :-) Am glad you think the way they met is believable; well, they must have met somewhere, somehow, right?
To me the fic feels rushed (am such a slooooow writer), but I'm glad the stunned feeling of Partridge came across even so. And yes, Preston's hand. It's such a lovely hand, it would be so perfect to play piano sonates...
*hugs you back* :-)

Ahhh, lovely. The inherent angst in this relationship just kills me! I loved seeing Preston in the film at the moment he realized that he was feeling, and this is so similar, with that same kind of confusion.

Thank you! I agree that there is such a connection between the two of them, even if Preston's incapable at a conscious level of feeling it when Partridge was still alive. A veritable angstfest...

Thank you! I'm so pleased to hear that! I love that movie and I'm glad I managed to capture at least part of it in this fic.

Oh, lovely! The difference between Patridge, beginning to feel, and Preston, still frozen, is so clear here, and so startling...

Even though I haven't seen the movie, I love these stories... especially when they're this well-written, and can make me, well, _feel_ it. *grin*

*hugs*

Heee!! Again, thank you! (and you should definitely see the movie, it has its flaws, but Sean and Christian the visuals are stunning. Is it hard to find it where you live? It has only been available in Holland for a few weeks now.)

*hugs*
