New challenge.
Since veuki and I were so untimely in posting a couple of weeks back, this week's theme is deadlines - missing them, meeting them, whatever - your story's characters must endeavor to accomplish something by a certain time or face dire consequences. Here is my sample submission;
There once were two girls named Becca and Jane. They co-moderated CLM. One Monday evening, they were remiss in posting the community's weekly challenge. Consequently, carnivorous mutant panda bears ate their puny brains. The end.
The consequences need not necessarily be so dire as that, but you get the general idea. Think of it as the Zero-Hour Challenge. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, should be completed in 45 minutes or less. Go, go, go! :D
