I love the show (in fact, I was watching my first season DVD yesterday)
I justified watching Sports Night when I should have been writing today as "research" :) When I got the box set we just settled in for a weekend and watched it straight through.
You incorporated the challenge so very well
The first thing I thought of when I saw sense of touch was Casey stumbling around like a fool. And Casey feeling up Dan is ever present in my mind ;)
and your writing style fit the show's style flawlessly. Dan and Casey interacted believably, and Casey's thoughts really seemed...Casey-like.
Thank you so much for saying so. Aaron Sorkin really set the bar high for dialogue and these complex, sharp-witted characters, but I really think once you get going they sort of take over. And writing Casey was much harder than I thought it was giong to be; but I figure at heart he's a little boy, and trying to look at it like that made it a lot easier.
