...there are not even words for how much I love this. GUH! Brilliant! Just because I didn’t get Walt Whitman or James Cullen Bryant or whoever those crazy dead gay fuckers were doesn’t mean I’m ignorant -- god yes, that is him in a nutshell. And Crash is just so fucking sexy just grinning...
Years ago I had such a crush on Kevin Costner. I taped Bull Durham and it went in my knicker drawer to be brought out when I had the house to myself and could watch him paint Susan's nails and have her over the kitchen table.. but even then, before I knew anyone wrote slash, I wished he was screwing Tim. Aw, thanks love. You just made an old woman very happy :)
YOU DID IT!!! You made a Bull Durham slash that works!!! I can hear Nuke talking... I can see Crash with his suave calm reeling him in! This is really good!!!! Thanks for being a "healer" today... needed a reality boost while in the HP fever. Still cried though... "don't make me.... whatever!"

I think I love you. You've captured the characters, the mood of the movie, all of it. The dialogue really distinugished between the two voices; I can hear Costner and Robbins. There really should be more baseball fans who write slash.
“Nah.” Crash nudged Nuke’s shoulder, amused. “You had your chance. She picked the better man.”
Nuke scoffed, scuffing his shoes in the loosely packed dirt. “Fuck she did. I’m the one with the multi-million dollar contact with the Yankees.”
“And a 3-5 record with a 4.20 ERA and the lowest number of strike-outs of any pitcher this season.” Crash winked at Nuke’s sputter. “Which is unfortunate, too. Your rookie year was astounding.”
“Just getting off to a slow start this year is all.”
“Mmhmm.”
This dialogue is so believable! Wow. This was really good!

This movie's been a fave since it came out. Back when Costner was sexy & fun. *pets*

Thank you!!!
I guess it helps that it's one of my all-time favorite films. And, of course, baseball. *grins*

Thanks. Weirded myself out by writing it, though. Glad you could hear them. *smiles*
