I was a fan of both The Boondocks and Liberty Meadows before I knew that Aaron McGruder and Frank Cho both got their start at UMCP. The article (yes, it's the New Yorker, but only because someone I read linked to it) that told me this stuff also said that the suburb in the Boondocks is Columbia, Maryland. It's not exactly my hometown, but it's still odd to think about.

I just overheard someone in the cluster ask incredulously, "Linux is free?" I listened to the other three people explain the concept to her. That's why I love working in here.
