Synopsis: “You are back so soon?” The blonde asked, blinking twice before picking up the cat and walking to the couch where his guardian sat. With a small smile, he kneeled down before the man and bowed respectfully, for respecting his guardian was most important upon return.
Comment: I really didn't spend much time on this chapter, so I apologize for the low quality of it. This story is really beginning to bore me.
“Show me.”
Rame’s breath caught in his throat. He knew for a fact that he was not ready to go as far as Bou was intending to go. As for Bou, despite his age, he was nothing more than a mere child. He had the body of a ten year old while Rame was a teenager, however young he was. Rame knew he couldn’t go too far without dealing with the consequences, and as much as he liked Bou, he couldn’t do anything. He hesitantly looked down at his lap and fiddled with his fingers as the blonde vampire pouted and felt rejected.
“What is wrong? Do you not wish to touch me?“ Bou looked up and frowned. He didn’t understand, for he had always liked Rame, and he only hoped he harbored the same feelings. It was only natural for two people who liked each other to push their limits and experiment, or at least that’s what other vampires had said. Maybe Rame just didn’t like him in the same way, or maybe he was just shy. Whatever the reason was, it still made the little vampire feel as if he wasn’t wanted.
The brunette looked up, pulling his red bottom lip into his mouth for a moment while trying to choose his words correctly. “It is not that. I do not think that you, or I, are ready for such a thing. Would Mana kill me for doing it to you? Of course he would.” His concerns always boiled down to what Mana could possibly do to him. As cowardly as it seemed, he was terrified of the head vampire and the power he possessed. At any given moment he could show up or read Rame’s mind and know exactly what he wanted to do but was refraining from. Regardless if the new vampire was going against what Bou wanted, Mana wouldn’t hesitate to punish him for even thinking about it.
Bou waved an annoyed hand in the air and pouted further; Mana was messing everything up by being rude toward Rame. Mana knew how much he liked his friend, yet he was still scaring him stiff. “Do not worry about what Mana-Sama would think or do. We cannot stay virgins forever.” No one could stay a virgin forever, especially not a vampire who would walk the earth until someone decided to slay them, and that could take hundreds and thousands of years. And as young as he looked, Bou was old and was tired of being treated like the child he was thought to be.
“But Bou, what if-” Bou shook his head, sitting up.
“Rame, do not worry so much. Would you feel bad for fucking someone to whom you think does not have feelings for you?” He brushed a strand of hair out of Rame’s before cupping his cheek and smiling.
Rame chuckled softly, “Someone so young looking should not use such language; who would believe you are a child looking for her mother if you continue to swear?” He giggled at the roll of Bou’s eyes and silenced himself so Bou could continue where he left off before he was interrupted.
Seeing that Rame was done speaking and slightly insulting him, Bou ran his thumb over the boy‘s bright lips and smirked, “I do have feelings for you. I was afraid to tell you, just as any human would fear confessing. I wanted to tell you when you asked if I were a gay vampire.” He bit his lip childishly to contain his giggles, “Rame, I love you, and others may not be accepting of us, but there is nothing they can do. Even Mana-sama could not stop me from loving you. You do not have to say you love me back, but it would be nice.” There was a mischievous glint in his eyes that said he was going to do as he pleased regardless of what anyone said or did.
Rame blushed, looking down at his knees as he sat on them. At least he knew Bou loved him, but he still felt as if he would be doing wrong. Mana would be furious and would probably kill him on the spot once he found out. What appeared to be more important to him? His life or the boy he loved?
With a sigh, he looked up at the older vampire and pouted, “I love you too, but we could never be together. It is not because I would not want to be with you because I do; Mana hates me, and surely he would kill me if he ever found out. I am glad you love me because I feel the same for you, but if Mana cannot learn to like me, then I do not think we could be together.” Bou’s face fell into an angry glare as he turned to look in the direction of his home where he knew Mana was still talking to Kami. If Mana thought for one second that he could control Bou one hundred percent, he was wrong.
'Lolita bastard.'
“It is not fair that we cannot be together because of Mana-sama.” The blonde crossed his arms over his chest, turning to look back to Rame again. He had moved so he was standing and outstretched his hand. Sitting there was so boring, and Rame was hungry and more interested in eating than talking.
“If you can find a way for us to be together without him knowing, I will have no objections; I would never wish to reject you.” Rame’s fingers entwined with Bou’s as they walked down the hill toward the swing set in the park. Somewhere there had to be a person dumb enough to go outside.
“Then we can be together, but we cannot have sex; vampires know. They can smell it on you.” Bou made a face and stuck out his tongue. “You would be claiming me, and all the other vampires would have to keep their eyes off me. Mana would know and we would both be in trouble. All we have to do is not tell him, and just act as if we are not interested in each other.” He nodded more to himself than to Rame. The younger vampire was fully capable of pretending he had no interest in Bou, but Bou wasn’t exactly that convincing.
"But were you not just asking me to-"
Bou giggled into his hand and batted his eyelashes cutely, "However girly I look, I am a, dare I say it?, man. Men have needs, Rame." Rame shot him a look of disbelief before his arm was tugged and Bou snorted slightly.
---
Mana shoved Kami onto the couch and glared at him. How could he find good in that little bastard? There was no good in him, only pure evil. Mana wouldn’t have been surprised if it was Rame’s plan all along to become a vampire and steal Bou. Any gay mortal ingrate would be interested in the blonde. He was cute and charming; he was practically irresistible to everyone and everything, man or beast. If Rame became a vampire, it would be easy for him to keep Bou forever.
The thought of Bou being taken away from him made Mana twitch, his index finger digging into Kami‘s chest as he poked him with every other word. “If I catch Rame anywhere near my Bou, he will be killed.” Mana crossed his arms over his chest selfishly, keeping his gaze on the brunette at all times. There was no way he would lose the boy he took in so long ago. Maybe there were other factors, but Mana himself was not sure. All he knew was that Bou belonged to him; he was his property, and as the boy’s owner, he forbid him to see that good for nothing Rame.
Kami shot up from his seat and yelled at the head vampire who was just being selfish by not thinking of what Bou wanted. “Mana, you must not! If you kill Rame, Bou will hate you. He would not even think twice about forgiving you. Rame is his best friend, and I can tell he loves Rame dearly. You cannot take that away from him!” Kami yelled, shoving the other vampire slightly. Mana stood shocked, for Kami never raised his voice; he hardly spoke above a whisper, nor did he ever lay a hand on someone so much more superior. Kami covered his mouth, quickly taking a step back. He had just yelled at, and shoved, Mana, the head vampire, the one with all the say.
“I cannot take that away from him?” Mana raised an eyebrow, walking toward the vampire who continued to take steps back, “I do not care what Bou thinks. He can scream and cry all he wants, but he will listen to me and only me. Rame will be killed, end of discussion.”
Kami pouted feeling defeated. He could not let Rame be put to death; Rame was like his child, much like Bou was like Mana’s child. He knew that Rame was out with Bou as they spoke, and he would not say a word about it, for he knew the consequences.
“You shall see, Mana, that Bou will not love you anymore. He does not, and could not love you the way he loves Rame; the way you want him to love you. If you hurt one hair on my Rame’s head, I will lead Klaha straight to you.” Kami teleported back to his own den in a huff of frustration. Without a doubt, he would find Klaha and have Mana slayed for harming his child. Was Kami the only logically thinking vampire there was?
Mana may have thought he would get away with it, and may have thought Kami wouldn‘t harm anyone. Kami didn’t harm the innocent, and Mana was nowhere near innocent. He was vile and stuck up; he thought he had all the say because of his position, but Kami would put him in his place if he did a thing to Rame.
---
“Day shall come soon, Bou. Maybe we should get home.” Rame turned to Bou with a small smile. The hardest part was over, and that was admitting his feelings, but it was not as hard as he had thought it would be. The next obstacle was not getting caught, which was more difficult than admitting his feelings to a million people. He had to keep his mind clear of Bou at all times otherwise Mana would be able to hear. Regardless of Mana’s so-called ‘morals’, he wouldn’t hesitate to push them aside to butt into Rame’s business.
Bou pulled on Rame‘s hand, swinging their entwined hands between them childishly. “But I do not wish to go home yet. I want to stay with you.” Bou looked over at Rame with a pout. If he went back home, he would have to listen to Mana’s rants about where he was and how it’s bad to hang out with ingrates who did no good for society. As if he actually cared about society; weren't they just food?
Rame tightened his grip on the blonde‘s hand and smiled, “I would love to stay, but we would be dust. I will see you again as night falls. You must get some rest, love.” Bou nodded letting his hand pass over his mouth to muffle a yawn. He didn't want to leave Rame, he wished there was a way for them to be together openly without any harm. That would probably never happen.
“Walk me home?” The blonde smiled brightly, stopping to stand in front of the other vampire.
With an over exaggerated sigh, Rame nodded and rolled his eyes dramatically. “As you wish, but keep your psycho master away from me.” They began walking through the park silently, hand-in-hand. They stopped just outside of Mana and Bou’s den. Bou blushed slightly while Rame felt fear rising. What if Mana came out?
“Do I really have to go in?” Bou asked, batting his eyelashes. Couldn’t he just stay with Kami for one day? Mana would never allow that to happen, would he? He would grow too suspicious and know exactly what was going on.
“Just because you look like a girl doesn’t mean you’ll get your way like one.” Rame chuckled, holding onto Bou’s hands. “But I promise to see you tomorrow. Meet me behind my house, and don‘t let anyone else know.” God forbid anyone else found out and bothered them.
Bou nodded, leaning up to press his lips against Rame’s. It took a moment for the action to register before Rame began kissing back, and he wondered how Bou knew what he was doing. He was just a kid when he was turned into a vampire, and surely no one would want to be in a relationship with someone in a child’s body, despite his age. Bou pulled back shyly, looking at their hands with a pout; he didn‘t want to leave Rame just yet.
“I shall see you tomorrow.” He smiled, pecking Rame on the lips once more. He let go of Rame’s hands and entered the den.
“Bou, dear, is that you?” Mana asked from the hallway. He walked out into the main room just as Bou was taking off his platforms and sitting them beside Mana’s. The blonde turned around with a slight smile and bowed respectfully to his guardian.
“Un~!” Bou sang, skipping to his room. He plopped down on his bed and smiled widely, covering his little body with the blankets. As long as he didn’t say anything suspicious, Mana wouldn’t suspect a thing. He and Rame could do as they pleased as long as they didn’t go too far.
“You are in bed so soon? I did not need to tell you?” Mana asked from the doorway with a stern expression on his feminine face. Usually he had to shoo the blonde off to bed and tuck him in. Now Bou was all of a sudden more mature?
“I suppose not, Mana-Sama. It is time I grow up, is it not?” Bou sat up, letting the blankets fall around his waist. He grabbed a rubber band and tied his hair up in a ponytail before lying down and pulling his blankets up to his shoulder. It had been a long night and he was tired.
Mana walked into the room and tucked the blonde in despite ‘growing up’. “As you wish, but you must let me baby you at least a little.” In all honesty, Mana actually liked the idea of Bou being his child. He liked doing things for the blonde like tucking him in at night and helping him hunt. It wasn’t a burden at all because he was used to helping younger vampires. The only difference between them and Bou was that he actually liked Bou.
Bou giggled. “You wish to be my mommy?” The image of Mana dressed up like the stereotypical mother made him snort and cover his mouth. The idea was preposterous. There was no doubt that he would make the perfect mother considering he was a bit too involved in Bou’s life, but Mana would just mess up the image of a mother by ripping someone’s head off.
“I thought I already was.” Mana shrugged. Maybe Kami was right.
A/N: Sorry it's so short, but as I said, this is boring me. =/
