Synopsis: Neither one, Kouyou or Yuu really remembered them, but Shinji and Naoyuki still kept an eye on them when they had nothing else to do. Kouyou had lost his fairies when he turned ten because he no longer needed his magical fairies to help him. In other words, he had gotten too old and they had to be assigned to another child. The most they could do for Kouyou was watch him from afar and use limited magic to help him, but only in situations when he was in danger. He wasn’t in danger too often --at least not since Takashi’s memory was erased so he didn’t remember how he managed to break his arm, and Kouyou had no idea either'.

“You're in for one hell of a night, kid.” Kyo snickered as Kazuki struck out at him. He playfully swatted the taller boy's hands away. It was fun to tease Kazuki, giving him a hope that he would make it out of this unscathed, that he could somehow get away. It was all fun and games until he lashed out and his hand met Kyo's face in a harsh slap, leaving a faint red mark of his hand. Kazuki smirked in victory only to find his air once again being cut off as Kyo's hand squeezed into his neck, the shorter using his body as leverage to apply more pressure.
Kyo hovered over his face and Kazuki was trapped in his cold, dark eyes, clawing against his hand for air, his mouth opened in a silent scream for help. “Big fuckin' mistake.” Kyo snarled as his fist beat down into Kazuki's face twice. As soon as the first punch hit he felt blood and smiled, Kazuki's face would be ruined by the time this was over.
He let Kazuki breathe and the taller took in a big gulp of air, turning his upper body to the side as he spit blood out onto the carpet. He could swear he felt a tooth loose on the side of his mouth that Kyo had hit and silently cursed; he would kill Manabu as soon as he got away from this fucking midget.
Kyo, not feeling like playing nice anymore and never being one to beat around the bush, decided it was time to get down to business. He gripped the back of Kazuki's head by his hair and roughly yanked it back, making Kazuki face him. “Ready to do as I say?” He snickered, knowing the answer. Kazuki wouldn't break easily. He had the biggest ego of anyone Kyo had met, but it didn't matter because the elder would enjoy breaking him down.
Kazuki winced lightly as the hand in his hair but he sneered up at Kyo. “What are you going to do, kill me?” Kyo didn't have the balls, and as long as he was still alive he wouldn't give in. He was no one's bitch, no matter how powerful they were. He didn't doubt that Kyo could hurt him, but the shorter had to leave sometime, and then he would get his revenge.
“No.” Kyo answered matter-of-factly. “But I'll make you wish I did.” He backhanded Kazuki, his hand at the back of his head making the taller take the full force of the hit. His ring knocked against Kazuki's temple, almost rendering him unconscious. His eyes rolled into the back of his head but he was brought back by a light tapping on his cheek and his vision zoned into Kyo's face, a sick smile twisting his features. “Don't fall asleep yet, the fun's just started.” Kyo purred sweetly, but his eyes were full of malicious intent.
Kazuki was only mildly aware of the metal sound of Kyo undoing his belt, his thoughts still twisted from the blow to his head he just received. Kyo gingerly placed the leather around Kazuki's neck and fastened it tight, taking advantage of the taller boy's daze. He pulled on it a couple times to test it out and smiled wide as each time Kazuki's breath caught, an easier more efficient way to choke the bastard if he didn't listen.
Kyo undid his pants and scooted them down along with his boxers, his penis already half erect just from the pain he had put Kazuki through. He shimmied up the man's body and patiently waited for him to regain most of his senses before shoving his length into his mouth. Kazuki instantly struggled, slamming his hands against Kyo's hips to push him away. When Kyo felt teeth graze his erection, he pulled on the belt, tightening it around Kazuki's throat. “Don't you dare.” He growled. When the teeth didn't let up, Kyo used his free hand to plug Kazuki's nose.
Kazuki couldn't control his body, his brain taking over in the need for air. His mouth completely opened, striving for even a bit of air only to be mercilessly fucked by Kyo. With a grunt Kyo pulled away, his hand moving off of Kazuki's nose and pulling Kazuki coughing and sputtering down onto the floor. He slammed the taller over on his stomach onto the coffee table, not releasing the belt to occupy him for his continuous fight for air. He had it tight enough to make it extremely uncomfortable and hard to breathe, but not enough to make him pass out. He wanted the other awake for this; he needed to learn a lesson.
In what seemed like mere seconds, Kyo had Kazuki's pants down and around his knees, his chest pressed flat against the coffee table. He pressed his body against Kazuki's back and reached around, fondling his flaccid penis, he dug his nail into the tip and laughed when Kazuki cried out. “Toughen up, Kazuki. That's nothing compared to what I'm gonna do to you next.”
Kazuki's body tensed as he felt Kyo's length move against his entrance, and screamed at the top of his lungs as he was abruptly slammed into. He gripped the coffee table as he was pounded into it, feeling his insides rip apart and a trickle that could only be blood go down his legs.
Kyo smirked as he looked down at how he was destroying Kazuki. Blood coated his length as he moved in and out, not caring that he was maiming his insides; that was the point. Kazuki would never forget this day, this moment. It would humble him and teach him his place, that he wasn't the king of the world. And even though he had connections, he still wasn't above being used and hurt.
The rapist grunted softly as he came. That wasn't his goal, but it was an added plus and as his seed spread into Kazuki's body, he relished the fact that this would forever make Kazuki feel unclean. He had probably just ruined sex for the playboy, and nothing could have felt better. His seed leaked out, joining the blood going down Kazuki's leg and he reached into his pants for one last thing.
Without a word he angled his phone, being sure to show Kazuki's face and the humiliation he was put through. He snapped the picture and promptly showed it to Kazuki, chuckling in his ear. “Remember, Zuki... I'll be back.” Done with the piece of trash now, he backed away from Kazuki, doing up his pants and taking back his precious leather belt.
Kazuki breathed against the table, tears welling in his eyes but he hadn't let a single one fall. “I'll fucking kill you all for this.” He hissed, his throat sore from the rough abuse it had been put through.
“Yeah, yeah. I've heard that before.” Kyo snickered, letting himself out of Kazuki's home.
---
“Takanori~” The mentioned boy looked up, surprised by the strange screeching voice coming from in front of him. That voice was so loud pitched that it made his ears hurt, and Kouyou wasn’t standing anywhere close to him, but it wasn’t too surprising considering Kouyou naturally had a loud mouth. He bet a airplane pilot could hear Kouyou screeching. What he was being so loud about was beyond Takanori’s comprehension, but he was almost certain he would find out as soon as the blonde reached their normal lunch spot in front of the tree.
He sipped his apple juice while leaning against the tree with a look of amusement on his face. It wasn’t everyday that Kouyou was this excited about something; the blonde was so excited that Takanori could see it radiating off him. ‘How silly.’ He thought to himself, casually leaning against Akira with his hand absentmindedly playing with the knee of the blonde’s pants. ‘What is so great that he’s skipping through the courtyard?’ Anything could have excited Kouyou, but it had to be something really good to get him to skip around and squeal in public where everyone could see him, but then again, people were used to his strange behavior.
“How some people still fail to see he’s gay is surprising.” Akira snorted against his hand. His sexual orientation should have been obvious by the way he hangs all over Yuu, not to mention he wears makeup and hangs out with Akira, Takanori, and Shin, who are all known for their sexualities; of course Yutaka couldn’t be added to that list because even after the whole Kazuki situation, people still failed to realize he was gay. Akira only wished he knew Yutaka’s secret, but then again he didn’t go around kissing Shin and holding his hand like the rest of them did with their boyfriends. There were only a few times that Akira knew of when Yutaka kissed Shin, but that was when no one was paying attention.
Takanori nodded slowly, pulling his mouth away from the straw with a ‘pop’. He glanced over at Akira, “Wonder what he wants.”
Akira snorted again, “Yuu probably bought him a teddy bear and it was oh-so romantic because Yuu is so ‘charming‘.”
“Wrong!” A hand appeared in front of Takanori’s face, the fingers wiggling. There was a really cheeky smile on Kouyou’s face and a brightness about him that he didn’t usually possess. “Teddy bears are cute and stuff, but Yuu proposed, which is a trillion times better than some stupid stuffed animal.”
‘Bastard.‘ Akira inwardly pouted and glared. Now Takanori would bitch and complain until he proposed, and Akira didn’t have the money for that. Takanori acted as if that sort of stuff was lame or embarrassing, but he was actually pretty serious about it. He wanted to stay with Akira and eventually find a way to get married despite how much he laughed at the idea.
Takanori grabbed the blonde’s hand in surprise. “He went to Jared!” His mouth dropped; why couldn’t Akira do that for him? He bet Yuu had set up a whole romantic evening and everything; Yuu was just that kind of guy. Even when they were kids Yuu was romantic. He used to give Kouyou flowers he found on the playground, and kiss him on the cheek when he got to school, and he even used to bake cookies for Kouyou with the assistance of his mom.
“Yuu has one just like it.” Kouyou plopped down next to his friends and clasped his hands together on his lap.
“Too bad he can‘t be here, right?” Akira took Takanori’s now empty apple juice container and set it off to the side, giving him his own container. Takanori brought his knees up to his chest and stuck the straw in his mouth, resting his head on the blonde’s shoulder.
Kouyou shrugged, pushing his bangs out of his eyes, “It’s his fault he got suspended, and as much as I hate him not being here, it’s what he gets for being an ultra-douche.” Kazuki deserved it, yes, but Yuu, in Kouyou’s opinion, shouldn’t have gotten involved. The whole thing was just a mess, and Kouyou could hardly even remember what the hell had happened other than Yuu had beat up the school’s playboy. If Kouyou didn’t remember being so mad, the scene might have been hot; might have been.
Suddenly a small boy found himself in front of Kouyou with his hands in his pockets and a smirk on his face that clearly showed he was amused by something. “I saw your ring.” Shin tilted his head to the side, “What’s the deal this time?” It was probably just a lame promise ring to make Kouyou promise he’d stop being an idiot or to make Yuu promise to stop being an asshole to everyone. Shin inwardly snorted, ‘They’d need more than just promise rings for that.‘ The couple was notorious for lame things like promise rings and such. They even had matching rainbow-beaded necklaces that Kouyou had made for their first anniversary. They had little purple star charms on them because purple was the only color Kouyou had that wasn’t considered stupid. A promise ring wouldn’t be surprising, not even if it were made out strings.
“We’re engaged.”
Shin snorted, covering his mouth and sitting down across from the group. “How not surprising.” Kouyou shot him a look, causing him to erupt into a fit of giggles. The last time they got engaged, they decided to get ‘married’ in the school gymnasium like a bunch of idiots. “You’re not going to get married in the gym again, are you? Should I round up the whole kindergarten class and yell ‘Code Purple’ at them?” He leaned back on his hands as Akira and Takanori began giggling.
“I forgot all about Code Purple!” Takanori handed his apple juice to Akira and giggled.
Kouyou twitched, “What the hell is that?” He never heard about this ‘code purple’ before, and if it had something to do with his kindergarten class, he knew a few kids who were going to get it, especially a squirrel and chipmunk who probably deserved it more… or maybe he had done enough damage to them when they were little; he did turn them into animals, didn‘t he? Or was that just a dream?
Shin shrugged as if it were nothing and flipped his hair out of his eyes in the ‘I’m-so-cool’ fashion. “You and Yuu were always doing something stupid back then, so the rest of the class decided to call it ‘Code Purple’ when one of you were up to something. Before you asked, we used purple because of the stupid star charms on your anniversary necklaces.” He watched as Kouyou’s eyes lit up and he reached underneath his shirt to pull out a necklace.
“You mean this one?” He tilted his head to the side, using his index finger to play with the charm.
“What are you? Five?! You still wear that thing?” Akira leaned over Takanori enough to slap the blonde on the back of the head. Things like childish first anniversary necklaces were lame. Akira didn’t even have the heart-shaped piece of paper Takanori made for him after their first ‘date’, which wasn’t a date at all because he and Takanori played video games all the time. Takanori was just a dramatic child.
The blonde scrunched up his face, “Shut up! You can’t tell me you still don’t have all the things you and Taka made when you were little.” Kouyou pouted, rubbing the back of his head. Akira had to have kept something.
There was a short laugh approaching the group from behind, “If you want to get technical, he’s still little.” A hand was placed on Takanori’s head, ruffling his black and red hair in an annoying way, and causing the smaller man to jump up and tackle his friend with a slight growl. He hated to be made fun of, and most of the time he let it slide, but this time was different. Yutaka was a jerk, plain and simple. That brown-noser jerk. Didn’t he have a teacher to be sucking up to or something? Or maybe a test to study for in the library? Pfft, nerds.
“Stop making fun of me! At least I don’t look like a… a…” Takanori sat on Yutaka’s stomach with a confused look on his face, trying to think of something stupid to call the other boy. When he couldn’t think of anything, he turned to Shin. If anyone knew of a good insult, it had to be Shin.
“Don’t look at me. If I insult him, I’m not getting any for awhile. I’ve gone long enough.” The small boy played with a blade of grass, ignoring all the stares he received, not to mention the overly-beaming Kouyou who was seconds away from pinching his cheeks and hugging him with that damn loud squeal of his.
And Shin wasn’t surprised when it happened. “You two are back together? When did it happen? I want to know. I mean, you two went through a lot. Was it because Yuu was a nice ultra-douche and beat up Kazuki? I bet so. He can be so nice in a mean way, huh? That’s-” Shin clamped a hand over the blonde’s mouth. Was it just him, or was his head starting to throb?
“First of all, yes, we are back together, and no, Yuu had nothing to do with it. Sorry to burst your bubble. We talked about it over the phone, and I spoke to my parents and pretty much told them they could fuck off if they didn’t accept me as well as Yutaka and our relationship. After enduring a lot of screaming from my mom, they finally realized I wasn’t going to change my mind.” Shin leaned back on his hands while Yutaka took a seat next to him and Kouyou moved back to his original spot. Maybe now that everything was finally getting back to normal, he and Yutaka could get on track with their original plans. He still wanted to do something with music, and Yutaka still had dreams of going to college. Yutaka wanted to get into one of the top schools so he knew he’d be getting a great education.
Yutaka leaned back as well and knocked shoulders with Shin, “You make it sound so easy. All you ever had to do was stand up for yourself, and it isn’t so hard, huh?” Shin shook his head with a sigh. “I told you so.”
Kouyou crossed his legs and pulled out his phone while his friends began talking about anime and some manga Akira and Shin were into. Their conversation was seemingly boring, and like always, Kouyou wished he had Yuu to talk to. Usually the two of them ended up going off on their own or they were too busy talking to each other to notice anyone else. Because Yuu was a macho-idiot, he was more than likely sitting at home doing nothing while he could be at school amusing Kouyou.
The blonde pouted and flipped open his phone. Cell phones weren’t allowed in school, but since none of the school’s staff was outside, he was sure he wouldn’t get caught. He opened a new message and quickly typed in Yuu’s number instead of going through the contact list; that would have taken more time, and why bother if he already knew the number by heart?
To: Yuu
I’m bored.
A message just as boring as his surroundings. He sighed and slid his hand holding his phone into the sleeve of his shirt just in case a teacher randomly showed up. He watched Akira laugh about something Yutaka said, and noticed how Takanori was day dreaming about something. Maybe he was just bored too. Anyone could be bored while talking to those three. Kouyou jumped slightly when his phone vibrated, and he quickly looked around before looking to see what Yuu said.
To: Kouyou
YOU’RE BORED? At least you’re not watching water slip down the side of a cup.
Kouyou snorted to himself; how could he be bored? Yuu had video games, but then again, was he even allowed to play them? His mother wasn’t home, so Yuu could be doing anything to amuse himself. Something told Kouyou his lover was just being dramatic.
To: Yuu
At least YOU don’t have to listen to Shin, Yutaka, Akira, and Takanori. Why don’t you come get me? A good fiancé would do it.
He didn’t even have to get checked out! If he skipped school, the worse thing that could happen was he got suspended, his mother was called, and he was grounded from seeing Yuu; that couldn’t happen because he had magical fairies who let him do whatever he wanted as long as it wasn’t too stupid.
To: Kouyou
Is that going to be your way of getting me to do stuff? It will only work for a little while. We’re getting married soon, y’know. But whatever, meet me at the corner, and for the love of god don’t be suspicious. I don’t need extra time slapped on my suspension for aiding a school skipper.
Kouyou quickly stood up and brushed his pants off before waving at his friends and going to his locker to get his jacket and bag.
To: Yuu
Are you driving?
He shoved his phone in his pocket as he opened his locker and grabbed his things. It wouldn’t take too long for him to sneak over the gate, he hoped. There was always that fear of getting stuck, y’know, like his pants getting caught and him dangling over the side like an idiot. He was sure he would not only get suspended but become a laughingstock.
To: Kouyou
Duh. I’m not dumb enough to walk there while you’re escaping. I’m already at the corner, so hurry up.
Kouyou snorted and quickly walked out of the building and across the school yard. He looked around quickly before jumping up and grabbing the top of the gate. With a little more strength than he thought he had, he successfully pulled himself over, although his bag hit him in the head and his notebooks fell out. He quickly scooped them up and ran toward the corner where Yuu was waiting.
The older boy shook his head and leaned over to open the door as Kouyou approached. He was actually hoping Kouyou would fall or something, anything to amuse him when he was so bored. Kouyou hopped in the car and tossed his things in the back before leaning over to kiss Yuu on the cheek and put his seatbelt on. Yuu smirked and began driving, although he wasn’t even sure where they were headed. He was hungry, so they’d just have to go out then decide on where to go next.
“Is it that boring without me? You usually don’t want to bail on school like that.” Yuu looked over briefly. Kouyou didn’t like to bail on school because he didn’t want to get in trouble. Sure he spent time in Yasu’s office for stupid stuff, but he never got in any real trouble. Now that Yuu was suspended, it didn’t matter if he got in trouble. School was no fun without the other boy anyways.
The blonde shrugged, scratching his neck and flipping his hair out of his face. “I didn’t realize how much I hate school when you’re not there.” He scrunched up his face and looked out the window, almost feeling embarrassed even though he had said worse things in the past.
“That’s because you don’t mind being stuck with me; being stuck with anyone else is torture. You have Takanori harping on Akira for something, then Akira starts arguing with Takanori. Yutaka teases Shin too much, and Shin usually just takes it or whines-”
“Actually he’s started sticking up for himself and snapping back at people.” Kouyou cut in.
“I fail to see how that is boring.” Yuu muttered as he stopped at a red light. A snappy Shin sounded like fun. Usually Shin would hide behind his hair and unconsciously scoot closer to Yutaka if someone was picking on him. Yuu could only wonder what would happen now. “So if I were to show up and harass him, he’d bitch me out?”
Kouyou covered an amused smile with his hand. Yuu would be the one to test Shin’s new limits. “I think at that point, he’d try to kick your ass, and you couldn’t do anything to him because that’d piss Yutaka off.”
“Back together?”
“Not surprising.” Kouyou shrugged. The Shin, Yutaka, and Kazuki drama would eventually come to an end, and anyone who was surprised that Shin and Yutaka were dating again were stupid. It would have happened anyways. Even if Yutaka refused at first, it would have happened because he would have felt bad for rejecting Shin.
“Is there anything else I missed that I should be informed of?” Yuu began driving again as the light changed. The restaurant they liked wasn’t much further.
“Not really. I just told everyone we’re engag- Don’t give me that look! You knew I’d end up telling everyone.” Kouyou pursed his lips and pointed a finger at the older man who was looking at him as if he were stupid. It was common sense that the crazy Takashima kid had a big mouth. Anything and everything he was told would eventually get blurted out, and Yuu, of all people, shouldn’t have been surprised at all. At least he didn’t tell everyone they were actually getting married; everyone just thought they couldn’t go any further than an engagement due to the law.
“So what did they say?”
“Code purple.” Kouyou pouted. “The whole kindergarten class was in on it! Apparently that’s what they said to each other when we were up to something they thought was stupid.”
Yuu snorted, “Yeah, I know.” He looked over at his pouting lover and ruffled his hair, “I caught on after Takanori climbed up on the jungle gym with his hands in the air, screaming ‘there’s a code purple~ Kouyou just wrote a love poem for Yuu, and it doesn’t even rhyme!’ He then went on about how no one knew how to rhyme as well as him, so you were just wasting your time.” Takanori used to be so cute; what happened? He was cute, but he was annoying. Now he’s just cute, but Yuu would never tell him that. Flattering a midget is sudden death.
Kouyou pouted further and fixed his hair. Did everyone know what a Code Purple was but him? He bet Mrs. Yamaguchi, Shinji, and Naoyuki knew about it too! He fumed to himself and yelled, “Shinji! Naoyuki! Get in here right now!” He turned around as the two fairies appeared in the backseat, completely life-sized as if they were humans. There was no trace of being a fairy, not even their little wings. They looked at the blonde, then at Yuu, then at each other before Shinji scratched his head with one hand and dug his nails into Naoyuki’s arm with the other. Kouyou only looked like that if he were really, really, mad. He wasn’t fun when he was mad, and usually something stupid happened.
The blonde glared at the two and spoke in an all too sweet ‘I’m-going-to-hurt-someone’ voice, “Did you, or did you not, know what a code purple was when Yuu and I were in kingerdarten?” The fairies shook, Shinji more than Naoyuki.
Naoyuki played innocent, “A code purple? What’s that?” He tilted his head to the side and blinked cutely.
“Oh, remember? It’s what the kids- OW!”
“Shut up!” Naoyuki snapped, “Are you trying to get us killed?” He hissed and turned back to Kouyou who looked like he was about to explode, and Naoyuki didn’t want to be there to witness the aftermath.
“You knew?! I’m the only one who didn’t?! You stupid sons of bitches! I should chop all your heads off for this. Now I look stupid!”
“You always look stupid.” Shinji held a finger up, only to put it back down as Kouyou reached out and grabbed him by the collar. Luckily Yuu had already parked the car and was now sitting with his arms crossed over his chest in amusement.
---
“Sensei~” Toshimasa stood in front of the classroom with a camera in his hand and a polite smile on his face. “I need Manabu for a photography assignment.” He grinned, showing off his crooked teeth.
“Manabu? For a photography assignment?” The teacher put down his dry erase marker and looked at the two boys. Manabu closed his eyes and put his head down. Science was his sleeping class, and now Toshimasa was interrupting him. That wasn’t even fair. Toshimasa knew he liked to sleep during that period.
The tall man nodded, “Y’see, he’s my muse, and I don’t mean ‘muse’ as in Zeus’ daughter.” He winked at Manabu who had sat up at the word ‘muse’. Did Toshimasa really just call him that in front of the whole damn class? And he wasn’t even done talking yet! His mouth was moving a mile a minute, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. “Manabu inspires all my work. You should see my latest painting entitled ‘Warm Breakfast’. It’s of Manabu eating breakfast with a beautiful~ sunset behind him. I think it’d make me millions if I decided-”
“Just take him and stop yapping, Hara. We all know you won’t stop unless you get what you want.” The teacher waved his hand and dismissed the two boys.
Manabu glared, “You don’t even paint, and could you have thought of a better title?!” He handed his bag to Toshimasa who seemed to be expecting it. They walked together to the top of the school where they now went if they didn’t want to be in class. How cliché.
“I’m also not a photographer. I don’t know a thing about metering or light sources… and stuff.” When they reached the roof, Toshimasa sat down and patted the spot beside him. He sat Manabu’s bag and his camera off to the side.
“But you must have some knowledge since you know about metering.”
“Actually, my cousin took photography in school and I had to be her model.” Toshimasa laced their fingers together and played with Manabu’s hair. “I made a great model, if I may say so myself.”
Manabu wanted to roll his eyes but decided against it, “I’m sure.” He muttered and rested his head against Toshimasa’s shoulder. The school day was almost over, but he couldn’t just go home. He had promised his lover that he would go to the café after they had both changed out of their uniforms. As long as he got free coffee and wifi, Manabu didn’t care if he had to sit in the café for the rest of the day.
They sat silently. Toshimasa played with Manabu’s hair, and Manabu was dozing off one minute and awake the next. Neither one of them planned to go back to class because they wouldn’t pay attention anyways. Manabu would more than likely fall asleep and Toshimasa would draw all over his notebook and worksheets. School was a complete waste of their time. With a soft sigh, the waiter kissed Manabu’s temple and pulled him closer, resting his head on top of Manabu’s before closing his eyes. The school’s bells were loud, so they definitely wouldn’t be late for the next class.
Everything was quiet minus the gym class playing out in front of the school and the planes flying above. It was refreshing to just sit there without saying a word. They were leaning against each other tiredly, and Manabu could feel himself dozing off more and more as the older boy played with his hair. He gripped the end of Toshimasa’s jacket and yawned softly until it seemed as if the sun was blocked by the clouds, but Manabu quickly realized that wasn’t the case. He opened his eyes as he heard a scoff and his leg was kicked. He snorted before he could catch himself and quickly covered his mouth, bending forward to hide his face because his amusement would make things worse.
“Do you think this is funny?”
Manabu looked up through his bangs and quickly looked down again with his hand still covering his mouth. He knew his smile was big and full of amusement, and he didn’t want to get beat up for laughing at Kazuki’s condition. Whether Toshimasa was there or not, Kazuki wouldn’t hesitate to do something to him. Kazuki wasn’t a stupid person to any extent, and it wouldn’t have taken him long to figure out who had sent Kyo to his house. Manabu stifled a laugh and shook his head.
Toshimasa raised an arm, “I do. You finally got what you deserved, right?” The waiter stood up and walked in a circle around the playboy. Kazuki had a black eye along with bruising all over his face and slight bruising around his neck that looked as if he had tried to cover it up. There were a few other marks on him that he had lazily tried to cover.
“I knew you had something to do with his, Hara.” Kazuki snapped at the taller boy who only smirked in return. Trying to stop him by getting Kyo heavily involved wasn’t going to do anything. Kyo could beat him and make him his ‘bitch’ as much as he wanted, but nothing was going to change Kazuki; he was too stubborn anyways.
“That’s obvious. Why else would Kyo show up at your house?” The waiter rose an eyebrow and crossed his arms over his chest. The whole situation had ‘Hara Toshimasa’ written all over it, and he was positive Kazuki knew Manabu was involved as well. How else would Kyo have known where to go? “He’s not the type to just drop in and say ‘hello’.”
Kazuki twitched, “No, he’s a fucking rapist. You know for a goddamn fact I never raped anyone, or did anything nearly as bad as-”
Manabu gasped, letting his hands drop to his lap. Maybe he should have given Kyo some limitations, but he didn't think he would go that far. Kyo was notorious for hurting people, but he never raped anyone, well at least not that he knew of. Suddenly the whole situation wasn't funny anymore to him. “He raped you?” Manabu finally spoke up. He knew Kyo was ruthless, but he didn’t know he would go to such an extent. All of a sudden he felt bad for giving Kyo any information regarding his ex-boyfriend. Kazuki had done horrible things to people, and even the beatings people received from him didn’t compare to getting raped.
“That’s Kyo fo-” Toshimasa pursed his lips as Manabu glared at him with such an intensity that he and Kazuki both took a step back.
Manabu pointed at Toshimasa as if he were a mother scolding her child. “Rape isn’t something I tolerate, not even if it’s done to someone as mean as Kazuki. Kyo went overboard, and if you think for even a moment that that was fine or funny, you are going to get my foot up your ass. That’s worse than anything Kazuki has even done, and if you don’t go talk to him and make sure he doesn’t do it again, I’m going to make sure both of you never walk again. Understood?” The small man roared in a tone that shocked both of the boys.
Toshimasa was taken back by Manabu’s sudden outburst and threats. He had seemed perfectly fine with getting Kyo involved, so what was the problem? Things like rape should have been expected. They were talking about Kyo without limits; he was the most cruel person anyone in the school knew. Getting Kyo involved should have instantly meant something bad was going to happen, yet Manabu was bent out of shape. “Why are you mad at me?” He looked down at the smaller student with his hands on his hips.
“Because he’s your friend and you make it sound like you knew he was going to do that!” Manabu pouted. No, he wasn’t concerned because he still had romantic feelings for Kazuki. Even if he had to be with Kazuki, if it were life or death, he wouldn’t do it. Kazuki couldn’t function well in a relationship. It was Manabu’s fault for ever dating someone if he knew they had commitment issues, but he had been close with the other boy for most of his life. Kazuki had been his best friend when they were growing up, and maybe he was just protective. He knew he was protective because even if he didn’t love Kazuki as a lover, he still loved him as a friend. They went too far back and had too much history to just hate him completely. Old Kazuki was still there, he was just buried by the ego the boy had developed over the years.
Kazuki sighed heavily and pushed his way between the two boys. As much as he was enjoying their argument (mainly because he found it amusing how Manabu was sticking up for him even after all he had done), he didn’t want to hear it. “Don’t fight over this. This is between me and Kyo, and I’ll get that little bastard-”
“So what if I knew? Why do you care so much about him?” Toshimasa shoved Kazuki off to the side and continued to argue. “After he cheated on you and beat you up, and lord whatever else, you shouldn’t-”
“None of that is traumatizing!” Manabu yelled. “He’s not going to be able to forget that, ever. I’ll admit that Kazuki isn’t the best of people, but he doesn’t deserve to be raped. No one deserves it.” His hands clutched at his side as his body began leaning forward with the intensity of his anger and yells. Kazuki would never forget what Kyo did to him. Truth be told, everything that had happened in the past was the typical high school drama that everyone witnesses. Playboys were common, and they dated people and cheated because that’s what they did. Kazuki wasn’t always like that.
“I bet you still love him, don’t you?” It was Toshimasa’s turn to yell and lean forward, and once again, Kazuki pushed himself between them. The playboy was sure Toshimasa was one second away from scratching Manabu’s eyes out like the little bitch he was.
He snorted, putting a hand on each other boy’s shoulders in an attempt to push them apart further. “Even if he did, we’d never get back together. You can keep him.”
“I don’t love him, but I still consider him a friend even after all that’s-” Manabu growled as he was interrupted by the waiter.
“How could you even consider him a friend?!” Toshimasa looked at his boyfriend in disbelief. Manabu must have had a few screws loose or something because anyone who still wanted to be friends with Kazuki after all he had done was just insane.
Manabu stomped his foot and pouted. He shouldn’t have to explain himself to someone who didn’t know anything about their friendship. Only he knew what Kazuki was like deep down; Kazuki could be friendly and caring, and he usually took care of his friends. His relationship with Manabu had obviously transformed from a friendly friendship to a romantic friendship, and even though things had gotten bad between them once Kazuki became a playboy, Kazuki did take care of Manabu if needed. Toshimasa had no right to question him. “We grew up together. For the longest time, Kazuki was the only friend I had. We first met when I was really small, I can't even think of how old I was, and do you know what I was like? I was like Shin. I was bullied by everyone, including my own siblings. I let people step all over me, and I let everyone beat me up and take stuff from me because I was too afraid to stop them. I never told anyone I was like that because I hate the idea of me being weak now that I'm not. Kazuki was the only person who treated me the way I wanted to be treated, and he was the only person who stood up for me, so excuse me for still holding on to whatever friendship we have left.”
“Stop fucking arguing. I didn’t come up here to make the two of you fight even though I was ready to kill you; I came up here to get away from everyone. I didn’t know the two of you were here.” Kazuki hissed angrily, mainly to the waiter who still seemed to be fuming. Toshimasa rubbed his face and stepped back; arguing wasn’t going to fix anything, and maybe he was in the wrong for getting Kyo involved when he knew something bad was going to be the result. “You can’t get mad at Manabu because of our friendship. You aren’t the one who continuously picked him up when he was down. I was the one who was always there for him, not you. I may not be there now and you may be the one he turns to, but that doesn’t erase anything I’ve ever done for him. We aren’t arguing about our friendship; we were arguing about your fucking friend crossing the line and doing something even I wouldn’t do.”
Toshimasa opened his mouth to say something when the bell rung. He closed his mouth and sighed heavily. Both of them had a point, as much as he hated to admit it. “Kyo won’t bother you anymore as long as you swear your playboy days are over. He can go much further than that, and I’m actually surprised you’re not in the hospital. You continue to fuck around with people, he’ll go even further. Got it?” He rose an eyebrow as he bend over to grab the camera he snatched from the photography class as well as Manabu’s bag, which he slung over his shoulder as he held his hand out for an angry Manabu to take. They'd make up later during work.
“I’ll stop if you don’t get in the way of mine and Manabu’s friendship.” Kazuki took a step back to move out of Manabu’s way. Why he was suddenly so worried about keeping a friendship with the boy he was cursing and making threats towards a night before was beyond him.
Toshimasa sneered, “Unlike you, I wouldn’t do something to harm or upset him.”
A/N: First of all, thank you to
niigaki_ayumu for writing the Kyo/Kazuki portion I couldn't be mean to Kazuki again.... When you offered to write it, I knew you'd come up with some great, and you did. ^^ If anyone was interested in that scene, I highly suggest you check out her stories because she's one hell of an author. :)
Once again, I'm sorry for a late update two months, but I do have a life and I do have writer's block, which would explain the shittiness of my stories lately. Sorry.
I mainly rushed to update because the humor of Yuu/Kouyou can give you guys to focus on right now other than the disaster in Japan. ♥
Also! I am only writing one more chapter, and you all know what that is. The Kazuki, Manabu, Toshimasa, Kyo, Byou, Jin, etc. seems unfinished, yeah? I'll let everyone decide: should I leave it as it is, or should I write a short conclusion spanning a few chapters in a new story?
Anyhow, please comment and let me and
niigaki_ayumu what you think! :)
