So today at church I was trying to find the song lyrics to the songs and so I saw the usual thick stack of primary song lyrics in English. Having a bit of time, I checked out the stack of songs.
I found the lyrics to Popcorns Popping.
At that moment, I suddenly remember the "My bunny Bonnie is over the ocean, my bunny Bonnie is over the sea, my bunny Bonnie is over the ocean, and bring back my bunny Bonnie to me" game song and felt inspired to do a wiggle action song with Popcorns Popping.
So how you do this is simple: Every time you sing the lyric with a 'b' (as in the case of Bunny), you need to do a squat.
So for this Popcorns Popping song, you do a squat each time you sing the lyric with a 'p' word.
The lyrics to Popcorns Popping:
I looked out the window and what did I see?
Popcorn popping on the apricot tree.
Spring has brought me such a nice surprise!
Blossoms popping right before my eyes.
I can take a handful and make a treat.
A popcorn ball that would smell so sweet.
It wasn't really so, but it seemed to be
Popcorn popping on the apricot tree.
And each time there's a double 'p' word appearing (i.e. 'popcorn popping'), the children have to try to do double squats.
So basically I did it today and the primary children had quite a lot of fun even though it was quite a short song. (:
That's a good encouragement to me. Have to thank the Holy Spirit for inspiring me on this. :D
