If I were... (or rather, What I Like and What I THINK I'm Like)

From here,

If I were a month, I’d be July because it's still a sweltering weather, but the day is starting to become shorter and rainy season is almost here. It's my birthday month too. So I like it.

If I were a day of the week, I’d be Saturday, a day to rush before Sunday.

If I were a time of day, I’d be 4.30am because it's such a odd hour to be awake, but for a good cause called seminary.

If I were a planet, I’d be Saturn because if so, God will like me, and He'll put a ring on me. XD

If I were a sea animal, I’d be either a tuna because at least I can be useful! or a microscopic shrimp, destined to be at the bottom of the food chain but nonetheless a food item for both SMALL & big sea creatures.

If I were a direction, I’d be right because "Choose the right, when a choice is placed before you"...

If I were a piece of furniture,I’d want to either be a hang-from-the-ceiling swing because I like how it makes the floor space seem wider and more open or an IKEA coffee table, simple and functional.

If I were a historical figure, I’d want to be Captain Moroni of the Book of Mormon because of his courage.

If I were a liquid, I’d be milk because not everyone can tolerate me and not everyone will like me, but those who like me can change me into different things (e.g. yoghurt and cheese and buttermilk!). I'd want to be yuzu soda because it's so fizzy and so cheery-looking!

If I were a gemstone, I’d be a cat's eye because its glow is not noticeable unless viewed up-close. I like and I'd want to be either a turqoise or a sapphire...

If I were a tree, I’d be a fir tree, useful for only a reason and a season. But I like an oak tree because it's so wide, it shades people.

If I were a tool, I’d be a nail clipper, annoying but a necessity. But I'd want to be an eyelash culrer. So elegant and branded (thinks Shu Uemura eyelash curler)

If I were a flower, I’d want be a sunflower because it faces the sunlight and looks very smily. But I'd also want to be either a lily or a lotus because they look so celestial and calm.

If I were a kind of weather, I’d be a still cloudy day. But I'd want to be those sunny breezy days where you can have fun under the sun!

If I were a musical instrument, I’d be a "clarinet played by Squidward" -- noisy and awful-sounding. I'd want to be a cello, because it sounds very low and steady. I like the sound a cello makes.

If I were a color, I’d be dark teal or strong Asian red depending on my mood. But I'd also want to be pitachio green or lime green because they look so funky and original and not-following-the-crowd.

If I were an emotion, I’d either be stoning or overly gigglish (read:laughing non-stop). I'd want to be alert so that I won't have so much regrets.

If I were a fruit, I’d be a banana or grape. But I like mango, strawberries, apples, pears, dragon fruit, and durian (many more, can't remember!). I'd want to be either a kiwifruit or a pear because if they're sweet, they're really delicious!

If I were a sound, I’d be out of tune because that was what happened. But I'd want to a perfect high-pitched violin because it sounds so delicate...

If I were an element, I’d be fire because sometimes too rash, too quick, too hurtful. I'd want to be water, only powerful when necessary but most times useful, calm, and rational.

If I were a car transportation, I’d be a bicycle with almost punctured wheels, not reliable at all. I'd want to be a shinkansen cos' it's so fast and efficient, and works in one of the most complicated-but-convenient train systems in the world.

If I were a food, I’d either be a custard puff or a pasta with cream sauce because too much will make you sick. I'd want to be either a macaron because it's so delicate and colourful, or a bowl of tomato/minestrone soup because it's so filling and warms people up nicely.

If I were a place, I’d be the dining room because you don't go there often but once you're there, you stay for a long time before you leave. I like a nice clean neat bedroom where I can relax without worrying about the mess. I'd want to be either an attic because it's so quiet and quaint or a temple, where you have get yourself prepared so well in order to get in, and it's one of the safest place on Earth.

If I were a material, I’d be rafia strings. I like the feel of cotton, leather, suede and wool.

If I were a taste, I’d want to be a mixture of sweet and salty (just like popcorn!).

If I were a scent, I’d be a citrusy or an aquatic smell. I like and I'd want to be a vanilla, soft musk, morning air, or before-storm smell.

If I were an object, I’d be an non-Apple MP3 player because I am not as ancient vintage as a gramophone player, I still play music, but I don't use the "popular" system.

If I were a body part, I’d be the feet because I don't look pretty, but can have the potential to look pretty if I dress up; and because I can work hard if in times of emergency. I'd want to be the ears though, important but able to listen more and speak less.

If I were a facial expression, I’d be changing expressions every time because I have changing emotions everyday.

If I were a song, I’d be オレンジ by SMAP because at first listen, it doesn't quite attract attention (unless you are already a fan), but if you are listening to it under a special circumstance (having hardships, leaving friends and missing them, and etc), it might make those circumstances memorable. I'd want to be either aSoulJa song because it sounds so smooth, or Inuyasha/Gintama OST because it's so catchy even on its own (w/o the anime accompaniment).

If I were a pair of shoes, I’d be a pair of platform wedges because they make you tall and yet they are so comfortable! I'd want to be either a pair of Clarks/Dr. Marten maryjanes because they look so cute; a pair of sneakers because they are so comfortable, durable and can be funky; or a pair of Manolo Blahnik because their designs are quite good and some of the heels I've seen are not that steep (read: won't hurt feet). I like Steve Madden's platform wedges. I WOULD NOT WANT to be a pair of Charles and Keith because their heels are so steep it's impractical, and they don't last!

opinions, rants
