So...
...My financial situation isn't so bad afterall. It turns out that I'm making just over $1000/month after taxes and all that jazz, so I have some money that I can set aside.
I just bought most of what I need to replace from when my car got vandalized. It's costing me about $50 so far, but I haven't bought the touch-up paint yet.
I also have started working on my secret project Halloween costume for next year again. I've been conceptualizing and buying bits and pieces of it for about a year now, but haven't had much time or money to dedicate much real effort into it. I bought a new piece of it today, and that's exciting. From here on out, I'm dubbing it "Project F-SE".
I also worked out a budget for myself for this month and set some of my money aside into my separate savings account. Out of sight, out of mind. I'm doing really terrible in school, so I'm headed into work to see if I can use my vacation time to take work off for the majority of this week so I can get all caught up. Things are really starting to snowball and I'm starting to get anxious about school again and I want to act while things are still salvageable instead of doing it all at the last minute and then getting pissed off at myself for not acting earlier and getting a better grade.
Sydney and I are doing pretty awesomely. She moved back to her mom's yesterday, which will free up about $300/month from her finances. Totally awesome. Now I just need to get my car paid down and sell that puppy and I'll be in the same boat and we'll really be able to start saving.
Anyways, this was just a little update to put things into perspective for me, but thanks for reading if you did. I'm off to work to take care of some business.
