ok, faery! slacker faery-ee comes through with the goods!
I like:
- black clothing, pretty much any color except yellow everywhere else
- spicy/amber/vanilla smells, also food smells but not fruity or flowery (except lavender)
- chocolate of all kinds & colors, plain or with anything except raisins
- sweet treats, love baked stuff but try to avoid hard/gummy/superchewy candy type stuff (ow, my jaw)
- silver metal (though I am v minimalist with my jewelry)
- just about all things artsy/craftsy, any & all art supplies, craft/deco magazines, especially cool euro ones like Marie Claire Idees or some of the British crafty DIY ones. maybe not paper, I have a lot of paper.
- sparkly stuff
- handmade art/craft stuff (I especially love tiny art), really anything at all handmade
- vintage plates & bowls (esp. awesome goodwill finds of mismatched cool patterns from the 50s/60s)
- reading! I am not caught up on the hip reading lists of the past couple years, so what was fun for you would probably be new to me
- natural-ingredient bathy lotiony stuff
- vegetarian/vegan cookzines
- small cool bowls & containers
- flower or vegetable seeds (from your plants?)
- sheets of tiny weird Japanese stickers, the little kitty-headed food ones are my absolute favorite
- punky girl music of any era, some electronica stuff (with dirty garagey drums!), also super-queeny club music, plus Ella Fitzgerald doing Cole Porter, also Garbage (except album 3) is one of my all-time favorite bands, although I have been in a music rut for years & so would welcome something new!
in my free time I:
- make stuff with my hands (drawing painting knitting sewing screenprinting spinning dyeing embroidering baking cooking)
- try to work on my website but then instead go:
- read
- take baths
- watch crime tv (but not true crime!)
- plan my vegetable garden
- fantasize about what new craft I'm going to learn next
I don't really go for:
- bananas, onions, mushrooms
- cutesy
- pastel colors
- the whole granola/hippie aesthetic, super-including patchouli
- meaningful acoustic chick music (no offense, if you love it, it's just not my thing. I love crabby garagey loud chick music)
I also just love getting, you know, actual mail, so you can throw out all those lists & just send me a little letter & I'll be happy!
