Early Bird
In the dusk, or the dawn. It's too dark to really tell the difference. And yet, in the darkness engulfing everything, the silhouette showed its purpose clearer than in the brightest sunshine. Even then - or perhaps exactly because of it - the nesting was so easy to recognize... It may not even be spring yet, not nearly the right time.. But I can't blame it. Rather safe than sorry - better to be the early bird than to change your mind too late -- so much too late.
The night and the darkness conceals everything and brings safety to everyone, if only you know how to use it. I hope you do. It is worrying when you are hidden from me, but I hope you are safe. Much safer than I could ever keep you.
