Slipping Away

Do you recall the fall with me, the fall we took our time to see
When all is snow and blue and white, we knew we loved it, still not quite
But past is winter, past is night, past is all that shone our light

When did you have that fall with me, that plighted fall that bound you to me
It named the flowers with the ease that came from being total peace
And gone it went without a word, no ground is seen, no silence heard

Why won't you share the fall with me, want to share my fall with me
Want to share the seasons with me, all the leaves have reasons for me
When the summers pass with me, goes as green as grass with me

Won't you share my fall with me, want to share the fall with me
Watch the colours falling with me, nothing is appalling to me
When the fall is gone with me, won't you make it done with me

The stars were yours, the moon is mine
I never knew the names like you
And colours never fit me fine
Hide them now and don't be true
