Moonlight and Madlibs

In honor of Felix, we (tidewatcher, narose, mshenzi, nadialiu, niwandajones, lycaenid and me) gathered around a bonfire for the Chinese mid-autumn festival Sunday evening, which, we were told, normally involves eating bean-cakes and moon-watching. We did watch the lovely _____(noun), but we _____(verb past-tense) smores instead of bean-cakes. We also whipped out the Night of the Living Madlibs, which was ______(adverb) educational. Among other things, while the wind was beating, we learned that the proper way to kill a vampire is to drive a wooden go-cart through its hymen. Ouch.

Earlier in the day, while enjoying lunch at the farmers market (a favorite Sunday activity), I overheard something seemingly unique. I can now claim to have heard a surprisingly lovely version of the Doctor Zhivago love theme song played on various glass stemware, cups, bowls and bottles.

And lastly, I've discovered that I might be a prude. There were half-a-dozen half-dressed men walking around our front yard and on our roof yesterday. I was startled to realize this made me somewhat uncomfortable. It also scared my cats. All three of us hid in the back room until they went away.

Thought for the day, based on discussions of thebiggest's yoga entry: Exercise is like changing the litter pan.
