So, here's the run-down. Been job-less for most of the summer, living off old paychecks. Then, I gets this gig with NHPIRG, the state-wide environmental group, see? $250 a week base pay, plus commission, sounds pretty sweet, right? But what I fail to realize is that if you don't average $90 of contributions each night (and this is door-to-door begging, by the by) that you don't make your base pay. And if you don't get at least $90 once during your first three nights that you're FIE-AHHHED. So I got fie-ahhhed.

But, on the plus side I got to see ManOwaR and Rhapsody live and in concert at the Palladium. This band called Holyhell opened for them. They had a female vocalist, and were pretty awesome. Benji, Layne, Nick, and I attended. Benji and Layne snuck Nick and I beers, respectively, so that was rather awesome of them. Afterwards we made a late, late night excursion to Bickford's. The drunken patrons there were annoying (as they often are.) But the burgers were tasty enough.

The next day I got woken up by Wendy bitching my ass off about random shit. I got slightly... riled... up, heated words were exchanged. So, of course, my dad got involved. The next day we sit down to "talk things out" and "clear the air." I didn't say a lot of the stuff that I wanted to, just because it would have exploded an already volatile situation. However, I did say a lot of shit that I had been meaning to. I don't believe it had any impact on my father, but at least Wendy got the gist of it.

I'm employed now. I work at the Park 'n' Go convenience store off off exit 19 in Northfield, and at the Nine West shoe store in the Tanger Outlet mall in Tilton. Both are easy jobs, and pay fairly okayly. I'm just glad I'm employed again.

I went to a big family gathering at the 'Sauk. I got wicked blitzed and my thirteen year-old punk cousin pushed me over a canoe for calling him a whipper-snapper. I got a bad sunburn, which is all crispy and peeling now.

Been hanging out with Layne and some of her friends down in Manch more often. Good, hospitable folk. Plus, they feed me dinner. Starting to like her a lot, again. Yes, that like. Sigh... we'll see how this goes. Hopefully okay. There's a lot needs to be done, but... I'm willing to put forth the effort.

Now I'm going to take a shower and apply aloe-vera to myself.
