A Hindu family in India that made its fortunes through a religious TV show is banking on the mass religious entertainment formula again with their
plans to build a Hindu theme park. The park will be situated on the Ganges, the holy river where pilgrims bathe in feces-laden water in hopes of being reincarnated into a country that has water treatment plants. The park will feature interactive displays, religious rituals, and
thrill rides based on Hindu mythology. Check out the Ride of Hanuman:
My own wish list for the park:
A whack-a-human-skull game in honor of the
ongoing Kali-inspired human sacrifices in India.
A dunk tank where the faithful can send an evil foreign merchant,
bent on corrupting Hindu children with Valentine's Day festivities, to a watery grave.
