sigh
okay so i got a new motherboard and i'm back online...but either the new motherboard or the new keyboard has some issue where it wants to reset and if i do nothing works.
so....i am back online for now cause, fuck this, i'm not doing anything else tonight unless i have to. will play with it tomorrow or something and see if i can figure out which one is causing the issue (i pray that its the keyboard and i think it MIGHT be because the asking to reboot happened right after the computer started to recognize it, but who knows). i may or may not disappear again in the near future, but now i'm online and, bleh, at least its something
...and i can't get to gmail in firefox, wtf.
it works in other ways, i'll deal with that bullshit later too.
eta: i dunno if i'll go back and look at what i missed, so if we need to see anything let us know here or in pm or aim or something.
....i'm really hoping the issue is the keyboard cause i'm really hating it, probably what i get for getting the cheapest one ^^;
eta 2: i hate my new keyboard but both my mouse and my old keyboard are ps/2 and the new motherboard only has one ps/2 port...so i have opted for plugging my old keyboard in and using the tablet as my mouse >>
tomorrow i will probably go either buy a usb mouse or ps/2>usb connector.
the problem seems to be with both the motherboard and the keyboard drivers, so i'll probably need to buy a new cd-rom drive cause, lol, i can't attach my old ones so i can't properly install the drivers for new shite ^^;;;
