[Lady Gaga is playing in the background. Loudly. Jim's doing a little dance in his chair.]

This song. I have no idea what the appeal is but I simply can't stop listening to it. Listen. I'll play it again. [He reaches off screen and starts it over and turns it up. Enjoy that for a while, Barge. Then he takes pity and turns it back down.]It's ( Read more... )

I do enjoy games, especially if there's something to be won. A prize for the winner.

Does the prize have to be tangible?

Not always. Victory is not always a tangible thing.

But I enjoy when there are high stakes. A prize for the winner, and punishment for the loser.

I don't suppose you're picky about whether or not they even know they're playing?

Why would I be picky about that? I have been playing games for months on the Barge.

Naughty girl, I'm impressed.

I have a proposal for a new game. But not here. We can talk in person at your convenience.

I like the night better than the day. Privacy is best too.

Your room? My room?

[Later that evening, Moriarty knocked on her door, leaning against the wall, inspecting his hands as he did so.]

[Percieving Moriarty to be a "sharply dressed man", Coyo herself made sure she looked presentable before answering the door. She wore a tunic this time, and her belt of obsidian and jade skulls.

She answered the door with a polite smile.]

Good evening. Come inside.

[He noticed everything about her, down to the very last detail. And he was moderately pleased. He would have been happier with something more modern, but one couldn't be too picky in this place. Giving her a polite nod, he stepped inside and turned to face her.]

Did you have pleasantries, or can we just...get to business?

[She shut and locked the door behind him, but not before peering down the corridor to see if anyone had been out and about. Fortunately they had not.

One could never be too careful.]

Pleasantries? [She laughed under her breath.] I ask you questions, you ask me questions? We...dance with each other? No, business is good.

[She turned and waved her hand, her expression hardening.] To business. Tell me of your game.

And I was so looking forward to dancing. [He smirked and shook his head.] But, because that won't happen, I will have to settle for just business.

There are others with powers here, as you've said. Powers you could possibly mimic? With your own extensive ones? [He paused.] The game is...not to get caught. Stakes are high, as you could lose your own powers if you're caught.

But, you could potentially see your competitors fall, if they're marked as the criminals.

[Ah. Now that was an interesting question. Coyolxauhqui had a walk about her cabin as she gave it a little thought - was it possible? And more importantly, who did she want to see fall?]

It is a large risk.

[But it sounded fun, and Coyolxauhqui missed her fun.]

Perhaps there is. I am strong, and know the methods others prefer for inflicting violence. Magic...[She smiled.] I will have to think on this. It can be done. ...yes, it can be done.

[He clapped his hands together once.] Perfect, my dear goddess. Quit perfect. I knew that it could be done, but whether you would be willing was...well, a bit of a challenge. I'm glad to see you're up for it, though.

It will be a fun game.
