I decided not to wait for state residency before signing up to take prerequisite classes. I've applied to the local community college, and will take a 6 hour Saturday Chemistry lecture/lab starting in January. This means I can make an August deadline for the nursing school with one prerequisite that I've been eying, and if I get accepted, start nursing school in January 2008. With my FAFSA numbers, I should qualify for aid, although I'm not sure how it will work for a second degree, nongraduate student. I'm excited, feel like it's within reach, etc.

In other news, I switched birth control because I wasn't happy with my current prescription AND because it was non generic and expensive ($40 a month, with insurance!). The new stuff is ok, but I'm breaking out and it must be the new hormones. I hope this is an adjustment phase, because clear skin is one of the best benefits of the hormonal bc, other than, you know, pregnancy prevention.
