Chisame stays up very very late out of habit, and wakes up early for breakfast and such and then naps during the day for long periods of time. She pulled a lot of programming/designing all-nighters back at Mahora, and she prefers to be up alone late at night with her laptop in the dark--well, Chizuru's invited.

Chizuru doesn't understand half of the computer crap Chisame talks about sometimes. Computers are for basically three things in Chizuru's mind: homework, communication, and porn. But she listens as attentively as possible anyway, mainly because she likes hearing Chisame talk.

Hahah, Chisame doesn't know that. She's very, VERY self-conscious about talking, because she isn't used to anyone showing any interest in her or her hobbies at all. Negi was the first person to do that, and so she assumes she bores people. The truth is she'd like to talk more about her personal shit and her hobbies, but she doesn't think anyone wants to hear it--not even Chizuru.

Chizuru, on the other hand, loves talking about her hobbies, her interests, and--of course--her relationship. She loves it to the point where she sometimes doesn't realize (or doesn't care) that she's monopolizing conversations, and gets surprised and even mildly insulted when the person she's talking to starts to lose interest. More than mildly when they're blunt about it, like Caesar was. XD

Chisame doesn't really have a problem with listening to Chizuru talk--or anyone else. Listening to other people talk is actually something she's not-so-secretly fond of, whether it's for purposes of snarking behind their backs or eavesdropping or just having a one-sided conversation. As bad as she is at socializing and as much as she ostensibly tries to "escape" her classmates and such, the sound of people talking, especially talking to her, is a big comfort to her.

Chizuru is considerably more dismissive of people she doesn't want to listen to. That's sort of a general thing with her--she tries to brush things off that bother or disinterest her. On that note, her ignorance of the chemistry between Chisame and Ari is partially willful.

Oh honey why you so full of denial. |D Chisame . . . sort of also willfully ignores the chemistry. Because while she does have feelings for Ari and cares about him a LOT and has been tempted as hell in the past, she doesn't have any illusions--she doesn't honestly believe she'd be any happier with him than Chizuru. And it's not worth fucking things up with Chizuru. Actually, Chisame thinks she'd be really awful for Ari. Hot making out action maybe, but she worries she'd suck him into a whirlpool of depression. I mean . . . moreso than usual.

BECAUSE IT'S EASIER THAT WAY DIDN'T YOU SEE THE QUOTES MEME. Plus she figures as long as it's not, like--at a point where it seems either of them might act on it--she might as well turn a blind eye because there'd be nothing to gain in bringing it up. S-SOHEALTHY T^Tb But she's happy overall.
Back to random facts, Chizuru really didn't realize she was in love with Chisame until shortly before she dropped the big word during that conversation with her, Chisame, and ickle Mello and Near. Her initial intent was to keep it almost completely casual--more than friends, sure, but nothing she couldn't leave behind when camp was over. OOOPS.

WE'RE SO HEALTHY THAT WAY. XD But yeah. Chisame would never act on it. It would take a serious moment of lust-driven weakness to get her to crack, and Chisame's libido isn't that high. Except when Chizuru bites her uh.
Hahah, I can't exactly remember when Chisame realized she was in love with Chizuru. In the beginning, she--didn't really know wtf she was doing, getting into the relationship. She wasn't in love, she wasn't CHARGED WITH LUST, but she knew she wanted to be with Chizuru. And then it grew from there, and that realization probably came during some little moment of watching Chizuru grope or look at another girl and thinking "BUT SHE'S MINE," or maybe watching Chizuru do something little and retarded and smiling at it. |D Probably something small, and she wasn't expecting it but just kinda went with it and she doesn't regret it a bit. GOD SO SAPPY.

Yeah God THIS IS WHY TOMO LAUGHS AT US. Chizuru got there because--well okay, in my mostly-camp-based fanon for her, she's had like one major relationship before this and it didn't really end satisfactorily. It wasn't some gigantic horrible blowout or anything and in hindsight she realizes it was sort of headed the way it was headed from the start, but it's her main point of comparison for such things, and when she started measuring her thing with Chisame against it, she started to realize being with Chisame felt really really different and--o hay hmmm. 8DD
Plus it was that time that she was first really confronted with the possibility of going home and never getting to see Chisame again, so--one-two punch, you could say. XD

Chisame really can't handle the idea of not going back with Chizuru. She doesn't even think about it because she won't LET herself, and she just chooses to assume that that's how things are going to work out. Her canon is insane enough that she's pretty sure magic could do that anyway. XD As much as Chisame wants to leave right now, faced with the opportunity to do so without Chizuru, she wouldn't take it. And sometimes she feels a lot stupid for that. XD;

And yeah it's not really a huge thing of mine either, but--i-it's SO easy to see Chizuru as being into it. XDD
Chizuru is sort of the same way--again, yeah, it's the whole "I push things that bother me aside" mentality. She got really upset for a while when Gwendal semi-forced the matter into her attention. And Chizuru also wouldn't take the opportunity to leave by herself; she wonders if she should feel dumb about that sometimes, but always decides she shouldn't--mainly because she knows it'll hurt Chisame. She'd rather be stuck in camp for a while longer than do that. She sort of figures she's done enough in that department. XDD
