This bunch is so amazing. *.* I could use a laugh like that every now and then.
Hej! Scandinavia by Hsing - aside from "Fairytale", I think I've got all books by the circle now. This one was her first. It's a collection of short stories: some tailor-made DenNor hurt/comfort, Ice being forever alone, except for Sealand (plus Denmark and Norway sharing reading glasses jfbfhsdfjnvn), meeting Iceland and Norway's mad parenting skills, something about weapons? museums? no idea, but looks like fun. Oh, and a Kalmar Union page.
All in all, the book is very different from those that followed it - fractured and much more lighthearted. Not unlike hibi, huh? I guess it makes sense that authors tend to have that initial rush of short funny plots - it's Hetalia, after all! :o) Anyway, loving the circle and loving humorous doujins, I really, really don't mind.
Ah, also there are guest pages. My favorite timeline, but the interpretation is... kind of meh, to be honest. But at least we get a beautiful shot of Hungary (?) for guest art.
If you catch a cold, drink some cola and go to bed by Norrsken - finally, a book by Norrsken! Still regretting missing her first one, even though it was mostly reprints of her online stuff. The story continues Himaruya's Christmas plot - Denmark catches a cold from running around naked and Iceland and Norway both show they care, in their own ways. The author is a dedicated DenNor fan, but the bias hardly shows - I really loved how she balanced out Denmark-Iceland and Denmark-Norway plotlines. Worrying Iceland is so cute and fffffff, Norway, you and your bedninja-ing.
In short, it's very heartwarming and very fun - a perfect addition to the Christmas event. Even the format and the cover are a bit special and create that cosy mood. Everything is so thought out. <3
Northern Brother Beat by gori@twitter - can we make the day gori turned her attention to the Nordics an international holiday already? She is hilarious, loves gen, genderbends and kinda ships SuNor. THIS IS PERFECTION.
This book officially wins the 'Craziest shit I've scanned, in a good way' award and yeah, I do keep in mind that Valentine's Day doujin. I can only guarantee you one thing: there will be no mochi. Better be prepared for everything else. Spoiler: they ruined the house. By magic overload.
And that leaves us with the last book I've yet flipped through - nicely drawn onesided DenNor, from what I remember of the preview. That one is to be scanned much later so I'm not in a hurry with it at the moment.
*cuddles everything*
