So, I went to that huge scientific library the other day to pick up some stuff for my final paper and naturally couldn't keep myself from peeking into the history section of the catalog. Lol, why so vain, Motherland? Having looked through several cases I was surprised at the sheer amount of literature about our foreign relations with various countries as well as the lack of books that just, you know, give an overiew of their history. Not much of a shock per se, but it felt weird finding next to nothing about Latvia's history prior to the 20th century when he has an entire catalog case all to himself. It's a little better with Norway - at least there's Danielsen plus that other guy whom I dislike. Oh, and I was expecting more on Finland, but maybe flipping through various compilations of articles about Scandinavian history just gave me the wrong impression.
By the way, it's finally snowing. About time. I'd take snowing over raining any day in October.
