This past weekend was nonstop awesome.
With one exception - driving in New Hampshire. Within a span of about two blocks are two Woodridge streets and two Danville roads. I'd like to offically change the motto of the state from "Live free or die" to just "Die."
But the Radiant event was definately worth coming up for. I went on not one but two jumpy-stone encounters (my favorite), watched some neat scenes from some house members' backstory, and opened a box with two locks on it. Yay!
Then
funwithrage and I split, were made dinner by
jameyhasnolj, and went to the Parlor Halloween party.
Props to
shatterdaymorn,
kiddens,
thestealthyone, and
Giddes for throwing an amazing party. I haven't played "truth" in a long time, and it was (for the most part) a super-amusing game. :)
I also danced for much longer than I had planned to.
aumshantih played "Halcyon and on and on" which made me very nostaligic. I had more fun at this Halloween party - and was awake for more of it! - than any that ever happened at the Parlor while I was living there.
Several of us spent the night at the Parlor, and the next morning we went to Haffenreffer to play RUINS. I was very impressed by the freshmen, who jumped right into LARPing. Two of them played my cousins, and I'm not sure what they were doing, but they were *definately* up to something. A third played a Morag Tong, who I appointed to an official position, and who went *way* over and above what I expected him to do with it. Seems to me like the plot of the game is really picking up, and it makes me quite happy.
After that, we went out for some sushi, and then some tasty homemade desert, and then Battlestar! The episode had several unexpected things, and was aa perfect end to the weekend.
