Weekend Review

I saw a lot of people this weekend, in excellent small groups, even if it did involve a loop that went Worcester - Providence - Boston (Cambridge) - Providence - Boston (Brookline) - Worcester. That's a lot of driving for one little weekend.

On Friday, I went over to the Parlor for drinking. I love blender drinks, especially the creative and incredibly tasty ones made by shatterdaymorn. Very pleasant evening.

On Saturday, we drove up to go shopping with funwithrage, noradannan, and silvergoose. We went to these little Tibeten stores that sell all sorts of cool clothing, bags, ritual knives, gongs, jewelry, and other such things. I think they're very awesome. I want more stores like them near me.
Then that night we came back and played the Ruins LARP. I'm the Duchess. So I got to spend the whoole night in one room! Weirdly, I found that very enjoyable. lily_shrike was especially awesome, as she volunteered to be my handmaiden and was great company when there were lulls.

On Sunday, we went to bigbluebackpack's place, where we were fed delicious indian food, and one of the tastiest cakes I've ever had. The secret: it's made entirely of sugar! We chatted variously about medical residency, WoW, old testament stories they never teach in Sunday School, and BSG.

Altogether - excellent weekend. And now for this week: sewing, pinning, and more sewing. Hooray!
