Try this Belief-O-Matic quiz on for size and you may be really, really surprised to find out what your religious beliefs (supposedly) are or are not.
I am quite tickled by this quiz, being that I am a religious studies scholar at the moment. The quiz was passed to me via the grad student listserve and the other students seemed amused as well. As it happens, I think that everyone who posted turned up some degree of Unitarian/Universalist, Liberal Quaker and Neo-Pagan. However, as some noted, the test is (a) biased toward western religion and protestant Christianity in particular and (b) it's obvious what religions the questions refer to (especially to those of us who study these things for a living!).
I came out how it shows in the following list. Please note that I, too, fall into the norms above. Also please note that the religion that I study, Roman Catholicism, came in DEAD LAST. I don't know what that means, if anything. That even less than Orthodox Judaism and Jehovah's Witness and Seventh-Day Adventist, even. Wow. Anyway, it's amusing, if you have the time. I think I came out this way because I am, above all, unwilling to admit that anyone *really* knows the truth, and even more unwilling to say that there is a single truth that can be had. If you have found a truth that is meaningful to you, hey, then that's what's really important, and that is the definition of truth.
And that's *my* truth.
