Chickpeas

Amanda and I are left to our own devices with out dinner. We drive to the nearby supermarket, run in to find waffles. Eggo waffles are pretty amazing but once we find them we realize they aren't what we want at all. We put our heads together and we realize that I am no good at making decisions. As we walk through the aisles again and again Amanda finds some chickpeas and clutches onto them for dear life. There is no way she is parting with those chickpeas. CHICKPEAS AREN'T DINNER!!! I yell and scream and bang my fists on the nearby cereal shelves. We continue on and Amanda reaches out again. This time it's for veggie burgers and in my hungry haze I don't argue. We stand in line and when we reach the cashier we realize we don't have enough money. I runnnnnnnn out the door and to the car, where I've left the lights on. I reach into the back door and grab the closest thing I can find, a 1955 edition of Life magazine with some famous figure on the cover. Inside I rush once more and panting I hand the magazine to the cashier and beg for kindess in the form the chickpeas and veggie burgers. The kind cashier calmly nods and together, bag in hand, we walk out.

It's been a crazy weekend. Oh yeah, and I went to Potomac Mills.
