I'll admit I'm one of the only conservative-thinking members of my circle of friends. Keeps things interesting to say the least. Of course, I would submit that the majority of my "progressive" thinking friends claims such just for the attention. Now it seems one in particular has started a wildfire of shenanigans with his usual "this is why I'm not going to vote" blogs. It's your basic tripe. "Voting changes nothing." "Politicians are full of lies and only want money." Now it appears everyone has jumped aboard this "look at me, I'm not going to vote" campaign.
Was wondering, since I'm kind of pressed for time this morning but would still like to address this stupidity, if anyone here could point me in the direction of any well-put articles and/or blogs detailing the importance of the vote. I could give them the usual "it's your duty as an American/don't come crying when things don't go your way" rhetoric, but I'd like to offer them something with a bit more substance.
Thanks in advance.
